I'm afraid I am completely dumb when it comes to taxes.. can you explain how this .makes it different from what we have currently and why this way would be better?
Flat tax is still a tax on income. So every paycheck they still rob you. You'll most likely still have rules like paying a fuckton of taxes on overtime. So you're punished for doing more work (punishing productivity). It also keeps the government in your personal space, knowing how much you make by filing taxes, payroll deductions etc. This also creates class warfare, why am I paying all these taxes from my check when the fucking drug dealer pays nothing, rolls around in expensive cars big rims. The rich pay little to no income tax because they structure their money stream so it's not legally considered income.
A sales tax (aka Fair Tax) everyone has skin in the game. It rewards savers by not having to pay for freeloaders. Ideally the savers would make more from the bank paying them for their deposit (fuck the fed). It captures taxes from grey/black markets (since they eventually use the cash to buy something). It gets the government out of your business. Everyone that works would get at least a 10% to 38% (or whatever the brackets are now) pay raise which would stimulate the economy.
