When has the constitution stopped them? They are already doing the spying. The just can’t prosecute you

You can read this one of two ways:

1.) They're saying "That pesky 4th amendment! Get rid of it and we can do all the spying you want us to!"

OR

2.) They're saying "Look, we can't do that because it would be illegal and go against our constitution. If you want to have those kinds of abilities, then you'd need to remove the 4th amendment. Which, isn't going to happen, so stop fucking asking."

I'm of the mind they're low key shaming congress and reminding them, without telling them, that the 4th amendment is a thing.
