Schools require proof of vaccines for things like MMR, so it;s already common practice

You can opt out. It requires paperwork, but the paperwork exists for a reason - because you can opt out.

You can't opt out in California, the only exemption left is medical, and much like the legislation that is being attempted to pass that has expectant mothers having to be well informed of all their choices before choosing abortion, one must submit and be informed before attempting to claim a medical exemption.

Not only that, the schools and medical establishment in our area of California have worked together for years to preset parents and children for what is expected of them. Examples of this would be the school sending home papers claiming a checkup was required by law (not the one that is actually required for first grade) when no such law or requirement exists and the paper is already earmarked at the medical establishment for that child, A form for a dental clearance that has to be signed by the dentist outlining a care plan, how many caries your child has, and in which teeth, also not required or a law but touted as required. Having the children practice oral care in the classroom and sending them through the dental bus without parental permission, although they did have to gain permission to seal a child's teeth.

Even school registration is a joke. The kids go to orientation and the school uses old information until students bring the forms back to school with them. It's lazy and irresponsible with the safety of the children.

The state has been raising kids here for awhile. There is plenty of free daycare and "speech" head start, the library is open until eight and makes a fine babysitter for that last third of the day and they are handing out free needles in Frisco, free money in Oakland in the form of welfare reparations, free money in Alameda to stay out of jail, the homeless are housed in hotels because of Covid and there is free booze, weed, and other goodies for that, I could go on all day, what's not to like for the democratic socialist soul?

The abundance of what we have as a state we continue to squander as fools.

Wow. Just. Wow. No wonder California is so ... fucked.
