i think he was terribly depressed; his new show wasn't doing well and he'd been handed a devastating medical diagnosis. in his younger years, robin was entirely capable of fucking up his life on his own; i don't know if anyone got their claws into him bc of it, if there was any epstein-like stuff being held over his head or what. even tho' he was a huge star, past mistakes and divorces cost him financially and i think his last wife was thirsty. maybe he felt like he had to keep working. i could be wrong. i just wish he could have held on to get through the depression.
