He wasn't charged with anything. Honestly I think the cop did the right thing. He was responding to a report of an assault and came upon the scene with people screaming that this guy had a gun. Anyone that listens to cop radio knows that details are wanting. By keeping ANTIFA back, securing the area, including disarming the individual, the cop was able to wait for backup and get a full assessment of the situation.
Once they confirmed the man's account - that he was being assaulted and was in fear for his life so he drew his weapon - they confirmed that he was legally carrying and escorted him away from the area.

Didn't arrest yet. Sometimes you catch them later, when they're not in a knot of mass hysteria.
Probably won't arrest at all, sure, but it's early to say definitively. I expect to be wrong, but I hope to be right.
