It is really hard for me to give any attention to these young actors when I grew up with Errol Flynn, Basil Rathbone, Cary Grant, Sophia Loren, Robert Mitchum, John Wayne etc. They all fall short by comparison

I as well. But, from Buster Keaton to now, there's some great stuff out there.

I can only hope you exaggerate a little because Tombstone is the Lords perfect western.

I did see it on TV but I much prefer the 1940 version with Henry Fonda, Victor Mature, and Linda Darnell. I also love any movie with Andy Devine. We do not have good character actors anymore.

The guy who wrote Tombstone, Giles Tippett, was a Texan and wrote some great westerns. I have read all of them.

But I tell ya, two movies I would recommend are Club Paradise with Robin Williams and Captain Ron with Kurt Russell. They dont make movies like that anymore. Sad.
