I recognize that the situation we're in is overwhelming. The rot in our institutions was stronger than any of us suspected. People we thought we could trust turned out to be not so trustworthy. There probably isn't a quick and easy solution to this mess.

But too many of us have given up already. Whenever somebody talks about solutions, they don't respond constructively. They ridicule. They despair. They say nothing can be done, so we might as well not even try. Constructive criticism for other peoples' suggestions is one thing, saying we shouldn't even bother and just let the traitors roll over us is another.

I don't know if these people are plants or just too defeatist for their own good, but either way, they're a gift to the Deep State. Victory is by no means guaranteed, but there are still ways out of this. Sitting on our hands is not one of them. Yes, we have to accept some hard truths. But there's a difference between that and giving up completely. You miss every shot you don't take.

So please. Don't talk about defeat like it's a certainty. The game's not over yet. We can get through this. We can still win if we try. Better to try and fail than not try at all. You can give us ideas. You can take action yourselves. But you can't just surrender.

I'm talking about the "give up entirely" kind of dooming.
