Some agencies are reporting the ship is free. I suspect the bow is on land still but even in a "worst case" scenario the ship is much less "stuck" than it was 24 hours ago.
The GPS data is showing heading changes so they may be simply pivoting the rear of the ship back and forth to try and get the front out.
With the length of the ship much less force will be required to pivot it from the rear like a lever. Its probably the best plan ATM. We will find out in a few hours if it actually works (Before the tide starts to run out again).
Saying all that....until I see it in the middle of the channel I'm taking the reports with a grain of salt.

That's how it got stuck in the first place.
Pushing the bow away from the side is more important. Doing both together would be better yet.
They're also going to try to pull it backwards, and the ship's propeller is functioning.
Risk of ship breaking before it gets underway. Risk of capsize once it is underway.
