Haha. For sure. The photos look like somehow the front is WELL UP on land. The bulbous bow would normally be under a few feet of water when loaded so its definetely not floating but this is the first step.

After this I wonder if it will be as easy as pulling it backwards?

Max pulling capacity would require 80 such tugboats.

There's only one like it in the world.

They have 8 - 14 to work with. BUT, the ship's propeller is free and working.

They've dug 60' down at the bow, and moved an insane amount of sand.

They do have a plan, to pull it backwards and then twist. The strain on the ship is immense, it could break.

I would say nothing about this is as easy as not bringing a ship that's 100' too long per canal regulations into the canal in the first place.. Prez of Egypt just issued orders to unload it if the refloating effort fails. High tides are at peak thru Thursday. After that their max gets progressively lower.

This is a serious cluster ...
