Here in SA you can't go anywhere without checking in with the government. Not every store is enforcing it, because they know they are not legally allowed to do so. So far I have been able to avoid doing it.
lodge a complaint with the Human Rights Council. That's what I've done... I doubt I'll hear anything back, but I'll escalate it as much as I can.
