Cross-posting my comment from another thread with the same topic:

In the past year Travis county Texas, where 1.2+ million people live, has had 78K reported cases and less than 950 "covid deaths."

So put another way, 6.5% of the population had a reported case, and 0.079% of people died "from covid."

But just go to Austin where the majority of people are going crazy over the virus. Unless you're at a park, you can count on almost everyone wearing a mask.

I don't think they are that crazy.. Or maybe I go to a lot of parks. Its only businesses that mandate masks. Even on the streets downtown its like 50% masks.
