People who have legitimate exemptions will be able to "apply" for them, and will pass their little barcode scanner just like everyone else.
Of course I don't agree with any of this - that's just where my logic takes me to if I were going to try and make something like this work.
Then I start wondering, can you make this apply to certain foods people want to buy? Once a system like this is in place, what else can it be abused for?
