Look. ALL the cops fucked up there. Big time. Sure, its not outright murder--but UNLESS the drugs killed him the cops did. In some ways you've got to be EXTRA careful if y think someone's got drugs in their system--its not an opportunity to beat down HARDER.

They put him in the car, he said he couldn't breathe and asked to be placed on the ground. They suspected drugs in his system, called paramedics, took him out of the car, and placed him on the ground in an approved restraint that autopsy showed didn't damage his neck or breathing apparatus and called paramedics again.

He wasn't beat down, he wasn't murdered, he died of a drug induced heart attack from swalling fentanyl while paramedics were already on the way.

Actually he told the police he could breath. Not only did he say it when he was standing up but he said why he couldn't breath. He said he was claustrophobic. That is well known to make you hallucinate that you can't breath. He's making a psychological complaint, not a physical one.

A lot of people lie that they can't breath when they're restrained as well. That's common place and police experience it for decades and decades.

Having a heart attack also makes it feel like you can't breath. You're breathing but not getting enough oxygen so it feels like almost nothing is happening when you're breathing.

The problem with people lying that they can't breath is that it really screws them over when they're really having a problem. If people didn't put on this act including Floyd then the cops might have had a better hint of what was happening, though they already did and had already called the ambulance. There wasn't much they could do but to wait.

He was saying it while just walking around

Yes he was but he also said that he could breath. He explained to them he was saying he couldn't breath not because he couldn't breath but because he felt like he couldn't breath. He said he had claustrophobia. A psychological condition that makes you feel like you can't breath when you can.

The cops had more than one reason to know that he could actually breath. Including Floyd telling them he could.

Guy tells you he can't breathe--how many times??--y get your knee off his fucking neck. Pretty damn simple, really. Guy's unconscious? Y don't continue kneeling into his neck. Again, pretty straightforward,

Another 'medical expert' could argue he died of suffocation or an induced heart attack BEFORE the drugs kicked in. I've read he didn't inject the drugs he swallowed them...if so swallowing poison means it takes (relatively) a LONGER TIME for it to kill you; to work its way through the stomach and intestines into yr bloodstream. For example with FATAL strychnine poisoning its takes about 20 minutes for the first minor convulsions to START and about TWO HOURS to die.

Nah. Why? He said he couldn't breathe before and asked to be put on the ground. You have a suspect in a safe, recommended restraint who has been combative and uncooperative the entire time and asked be to placed there. The officers went above and beyond to make him comfortable in that regard.

Agreed. Continuing it so long after unconsciousness was a callous move. Didn't hurt or kill Floyd, but the optics are terrible. <

They could argue that, but they'd be lying.

Go swallow a lethal dose cyanide and report back how long it takes to kick in.

Go swallow a lethal dose cyanide

Cyanide salts aren't Fentanyl, FFS. And your point?

The coroner's report showed no damage to Floyd's neck or airway and showed a dose of fentanyl that was between 4 and 6 times the lethal dose alongside a major heart condition. He didn't get beat down "harder" or really at all.

I'd encourage you to watch the full arrest video if you haven't. Floyd eats a baggie of fentanyl right when the cop confronts him and he starts saying "I can't breathe" as soon as they move to put him in the cop car. Floyd OD'd 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital plain and simple.

Did he inject the drugs or swallow them? Takes two hours to die from fatal strychnine poisoning if you SWALLOW a dose. Within 20 minutes the swallowed drugs (probably) wouldn't even have started to break down in the stomach--let alone enter the bloodstream.

He died 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital? Pretty sure he died when lying on the ground and the paramedics confirmed he had no pulse, right?

The drugs killed him. He swallowed all his drugs so the cops couldn’t find them. Similar to that rapper Juice WRLD. It had nothing to do with the knee on the neck, literally 0% the reason he died.

Guess you’ve never run into someone flying high on pcp then.

Consider yourself lucky.
