I agree with you on that, but he shouldn't go there from the beginning. He wasn't a poor guy with the family in his van, just driving by mistake in front of the ANTIFA thugs. You need to plan your protest and the consequences you can have. You need to know where it could end and what you're gonna do. Do you expect to be flying American flags in front of ANTIFA mob and not being attacked? Do you expect to be protected by leftist commanded cops?
