Ultimately the blame lies on SCOTUS, the GOP, and the Republican governors (such as Kemp) who could have easily stopped the coup.
Pence, while a backstabbing traitor, never had the power to overturn the election and declare Trump the winner.
It then fell to Trump, who could have still crossed the Rubicon and became a hero. He had 80 MILLION who had his back. But he chose a peaceful transition to an illegal regime hellbent on destruction of the Republic and freedom. I don't really blame him though, it was a tough choice.
its a hard situation to be in really for trump here, if he had went down the route and kept fighting he would have 100% gotten convicted by mccuck and his crew.
It would have been messy, that's why it was a hard choice. Obviously the tyrants would have tried to remove him from power and arrest him. And the leftist military brass (which he should have purged) were already threatening to not follow orders if he used the Insurrection Act. So ultimately, he would have had to deputize a large number of patriots (both in the military along with supporting citizens) to defend him and then cite a conspiracy to deprive millions of their right to vote.
It would have sent the country spiraling into chaos for a bit, but it would have been a move that our Founding Fathers would have likely made.
I wish he did it, because I think it would have been a better choice that just surrendering the country and let it die and its citizens lose their freedom and be forced into tyranny. Too many people gave their lives for the chance at freedom to just let it die like that. But I do understand why it was a tough choice, especially made harder by no one in the government really having his back.
