I sat down with my children for a very serious discussion.
I told them that people might try to lie to them and tell them they are sick. I told them that these people are liars, and sadly there are many liars in the world. I told them that if they were sick they'd know about it or I'd know about it.
I told my children not to wear masks or let people put masks on you. It's abusive and a mean way for people to psychologically abuse you and make you feel ugly and not special. But you are special and you are beautiful the way God made you.
I told them there is no scary virus for them to be afraid of. That I am committed to protecting them and that no one can falsely claim to love them more than I do. I've been with them since the day they were born.
I also told them to never let anyone touch their privates or force them to undress. I told them to scream loud and run if someone tries and to tell me. I told them not to ever feel embarrassed to tell me something that is bothering them and that people trying to hurt them or threaten them is never their fault.
I have the same thought. I told my 6 grown children if they get it, they cannot come into my home ever again.
