The US dollar is a dead man walking. The US economy is in for rough times. A hedge fund going bust and screwing up a few banks balance sheets for the quarter is not the beginning of the end. The beginning of the end was 2014. When Republicans gained control of both chambers of congress but refused to curtail spending. Then they won it all in 2016 and for all his greatness, trump sucked at spending money. Not that it was necessarily his fault alone, it wasn't. But they had all three elected wings and ran deficits for both years.
That's when the writing was on the wall. No one had the appetite to do what was necessary because people would be mad. The good news is that crypto is going to save us from a full collapse. The government can try to ban it, and they will (and the day they do, buy buy buy), but it will be for naught.
