I really think this is overblown fear mongering by the right, this idea that suddenly hundreds of males who can't succeed against other males are going to go pretend to be women so they can succeed in athletics is absurd.
You'll get a few to be sure, but I don't accept that everyone is of such low character as to cheat in this manner.
Further, this is the path women choose when they vote liberal, which they tend to do. Why should they be immune from the natural result of it?
Most women's sports you wouldn't even know exist without this controversy.
I do agree that I don't think there will be as many men competing as women as we fear. Then again, I didn't foresee any of this EVER becoming an issue in the first place. So who really knows.
There are plenty of women who aren't liberals, myself included. I have a 12 year old daughter who is an athlete. USA Gymnastics has already sent us an email explaining the new regulations, one of which includes the rule that boys competing as girls will be allowed to wear shorts over their leotards, essentially so their dicks don't fall out of their leotards during competition. Gross.
If this only affected liberals and the rest of us could just opt out, I might be okay with it. But unfortunately it doesn't.
