This is not a threat they should make lightly. Coming to kill gun owners gestapo style is not a smart move. The gun community is rife with memes about claymore roombas and taxidermied dogs stuffed full of tannerite. The gun community has a pretty solid FAFO mentality and it has thought a few steps ahead of the whole "kill all gun owners" proponents. At a certain point, this is just threatening those gun owners with a good time.
The mistake they make is assuming gun owners will just sit at home waiting to be murdered one by one. In reality, once the first wave of raids happened, you'd see thousands of patriots forming up to march on DC, State Capitols, and military/police stations.
This is why the truly evil people raise the temperature slowly trying to boil us alive without us noticing. If you push people too far they'll fight back, so the smart ones try and do it slowly.
In strictly minecraft simulations, the moment gun roundups start, there are going to be a lot of burner phones making calls to local PDs reporting stockpiles of guns at the homes of people who keep pushing gun control online and reports of mass shootings at local Planned Parenthood, Democrat Party offices, lefty university buildings, etc. Some homemade caltrops might be left outside the police motorpools to make the PD spend their operating budget on buying new tires rather than raiding homes. Stuff like that.
I doubt it becomes anything as drawn out as that. If they are going door to door executing anyone who resists and taking the guns, its going to come to a head in a matter of days. Either patriots will drag our leaders out and end them or patriots will be drug out and ended. Either way it would be clear within a few days whether there are enough patriots to threaten the head of the snake. If there are not, sabotaging the jackboots is just delaying the inevitable. You'd be better served fleeing the country and trying to settle somewhere that isn't yet a communist shithole.
