Companies like the NBA/nfl get more money from other companies than they do from viewers. Eventually their money will run out, but the people in charge just dont care anymore. They woul rather be seen as progressive than make money from conservatives
I’m not sure. It’s the sports industrial complex, I think. The networks way over pay for the rights to broadcast, the advertisers funnel their money to the networks and it all ends up in the hands of the league. Basically the leagues, mega corporations, and the media just shift the money around and around to keep us distracted and entertained.
You're probably right. My hope is that once the people advertising realize that its wasted money they will stop doing it.
But these companies have so much money they will continuing to buy the ad time, if it's just to support the wokeness.
Im starting to have some less capitalistic thoughts about these billion dollar companies most of whom fund wokeness. If they have enouhh money to donate to BLM, hire robin deangelo, donate to democrats, maybe they should be taxed more
