If you want material in it's historically original form, unedited for a woke generation you can't just walk into a modern retailer and pickup a set of new books for your library. You have to look at the edition dates. Anything later than 2000 is suspect. Anything post-Obama should absolutely be scrutinized.

I've managed to get two or three original ones, that show mom in the kitchen (had to be changed to show dad cooking) and construction crews are male (several had to be made female by adding bows, same with police).

Goosebumps was great stuff. I used to get em handed down from my brother so used my little bit of money on other stuff.
Oh, I loved Redwall! I would read any anthropomorphic animal books I could find. Well, until about 4th grade when I got hold of Animal Farm thinking it was a child's book. Still upset they sent that poor horse to the glue farm, but at least it made me hate communism early!
