You have memory B cells that create antibodies when they encounter a virus they remember. You cannot get covid twice. The "I got covid twice" bullshit is people testing positive when they didn't have it, then actually getting it later. It effects people worse who have poor sugar control because the virus uses a glucose shield to "hide."
Finally, the vaccines are brand new. They have not been tested "for years" as some people claim. The mRNA vaccines that have been tested were for the oncology field. Using mRNA to train cells to attack cancer is incredibly different from spiking the immune system to fight a virus it may never encounter. There have been vaccines like this in the past, but they never made it through animal trials. In one case I know of, a group of animals showed great anti-body response after taking an mRNA vaccines. They were then exposed to the virus itself and they all died. Viral enhancement is a real danger.
I think mRNA has great potential. I'm not anti-vax. But it needs work. And humans shouldn't be the guinea pigs. Not for a virus like this. If someone made an mRNA vaccine that was able to attack and kill something like AIDS, I'm sure people would accept the risk. But the juice isn't worth the squeeze in regards to covid.
