Never will understand how Oregon and Washington state were lost to the Communist. Always pictured them as untamed and with a rugged individual wilderness. I'm also from New England and have no idea about the area.
Growing up in Washington it was that way until about 15 years ago. Then it's all soy as far as the eye can see. Rural areas are still 100% trump supporters though besides the Richie rich areas tucked away in the rural areas.
Californians moving away from the garbage they voted for didn't help. I remember a local business owner in Washington (in the late 80's I think), putting up "Californian's go home" bill boards up. Even then, they were ruining our states.
