The generation who lived during the Great Depression saw a world and life much different from the relative luxury we know now. Resourcefulness is a survival skill. Not something that should be laughed at.
Aluminum used to be extremely rare before it could be extracted from bauxite with the aid of electricity. It isn’t rare or expensive anymore. Oil is similarly inexpensive, I can get 5L of vegetable oil for $8, or a liter of avocado oil for $9. Bacon grease is easily 10x as expensive.
But I get the spirit of the meme about frugality.
edit: for the record I do reuse aluminum chaffing dishes and reuse foil when I can

Decadence is what we have now and I think we are all going to get a hard lesson on survival skills in the next few years.
I’m a chef. We call bacon grease bacon gold. Keep it as such.

Get of Granny's lap, you're sitting on my tits.
I was digging through the fridge and was like, "What the hell is this!? It's disgusting!" She said, "I use it to cook."

At least she became somebody's great grandma.
Will you have descendants?
Frugal is where you get descendants. Because that way, you can afford them.
Frugality / Fertility / Fraternity
