You still don't get it. The moral authority does not reside with me.

I understand precisely. You believe that your religion is accurate, and your religion has certain moral tenets that you follow. You believe that anyone who fails to follow your religion's tenets will go to Hell.

You feel that it is your duty as a good religious follower to proselytize others, and try to enforce your religious views on others. The proselytizing is acceptable so long as it is not forced on others against their will, or the wills of their guardians. Talk all you want.

When you stop talking and start enacting laws, or threatening those who do not 'see the light,' that's when red flags go up.

No matter what your religious beliefs state, in this country, the LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ folks are free to do what they want between CONSENTING ADULTS.

They start sexually pressuring or acting sexually on children and I'll be right there beside you fighting against it. Perusing my history here will show you that I am rock solid on this.

My reasoning for this is 100% secular. Children are mentally flexible, but still easily damaged. They should be protected and allowed to develop naturally, as much as possible. They should be protected from sexual activity until they are old enough and mentally developed enough to make informed decisions. Some of those children will choose alternate sexualities. A small part of the population has been doing that for as long as humans have existed.

Why do I believe in protecting children outside the framework of religion? There are an absurd number of people in the world today who were damaged as children and suffer lasting effects through their adult years. Millions of people alive today, damaged to some extent or another because they were not protected well enough as children. We'll never be perfect at protecting children, but we should always try to protect them.

BUT. After they are adults, anything they do with other consenting adults is their own damn business unless they WANT to join your religion.

I don't believe my religion is accurate.

My religion is accurate.

Tolerating homosexuality has degraded society. You will be supporting trans mutilations for children if that's the way the wind blows, because that's what agnostics are.

Leaves in the wind.

No. I will never support sexual reconstructive surgery for any child other than the truly super-rare children born with severe birth defects of the genitals.

Just because I do not believe in your chosen deity does not mean I am fickle. My beliefs are based on what I can verify.
