The domain change took place at the same time as the inauguration. The inauguration is what's responsible for the shift in energy.
Fbi crawling around here daily
Or maybe people are waking up to the REAL truth that BOTH sides are playing EVERYONE and we are ALL fucking fed up with the bs.
What's irrational? You bet we're enraged. That's not going to stop.
You can think of me as the canary in the coal mine. I'm brown, first generation immigrant, and served in the usmc reserves for desert shield. I really do consider all Americans as my brothers and sisters. I don't wear military clothing or insignia. Recently, I've noticed angered looks from some white folks towards me. My son complains of the same, I had to sit down with him the other day and explain to him what's happening in our great country. Whatever you do, don't taint the "Make America Great Again" with ignorance. Don't let the social engineering turn you into monsters.
I don’t even want to look at a “brown” person anymore because the risk is higher than the reward. If we look, we’re racists. If we don’t look, we’re racists. And so on.
You’re not a canary in the coal mine, either. The canary is white folks who have no natural prejudices, but checked out from trying to be friendly with people of color. It’s a lost cause. Add it up, you’ll see.
You immigrated, you served. Great. Means fuck-all at this point because far too many people got caught up in the anti-white mantra that has served politicians, yet taken the country to the brink of civil war. Even if you’re the best man on earth, America didn’t need you.
I had a talk with my son and told him don’t trust anyone, especially blacks and browns.
You're putting a yoke around the neck of your son. Anyhow, all the best to you and your family. I won't be coming back here often, a significant amount of you are being socially engineered and don't realize it. It's easy to see it happening on the left side, but it's more difficult to see it happening on your side - the frog in boiling water.
I’d also like to quickly point out that your choice of wu tang for a username doesn’t exactly put you in a positive light.
We’re talking about a group of pcp addled rappers who think blacks are gods and supreme on this earth. You want to represent the 5 percent nation, their lyrics about racism, violence and drugs, yet expect me to take you seriously? You’ve likely been engineered since the 90’s.
you need to relax, there was a tv blip about them while I was signing up, so it was the first thing that came to mind.
There are too many who have bought into the engineering that white people are all supremacists, that all the “problems” are caused by white people, that the country was founded on racism and successful whites are simply privileged.
These people have warranted and justified violence toward all things white. At what point is it wise to accept the dangers associated with this en vogue hatred and move toward self preservation? If 750,000 assaults every year on whites perpetrated by blacks and browns isn’t enough to tell my son to be situationally aware, what is? Just like any other danger, I will guide my children to be safe and understand the reality of what’s happening on the ground in this country. Your feelings be damned.
Unless you told your son that your people have created a rift that puts all whites in the same box, you haven’t given him the knowledge as to why “he gets looks” or whatever. Sure, maybe your boy is even keeled and racially unbiased, as is my boy, but that doesn’t mean I should just accept putting him in a position to be railed and potentially come home in a box. I will not let my children be naive regardless of the unpolitically accepted nature of the truth.
Blacks and browns, immigration from places that hate us and this newfound tribal instinct against whites and western values is not worth the drag it produces on the human spirit. If you have a different viewpoint that doesn’t involve blind optimism, I’m all ears.
brother, you're wrapped up in this stuff tightly. I can see you're hurt by this shit, me too. Most people are well behaved and get along fine with each other but there is a small percentage of people who swallow what the media puts out then spreads it as a disease through hatred. The media is working tirelessly enraging the population on all sides. There's a sucker born every minute.
I don’t mind civil discourse on the matter, but you aren’t actually addressing the heart of the conversation.
At what point is it prudent to teach scrutiny and situational awareness to children about the realities of violence coming from the black and brown community? How about the ongoing attacks on Asians for being Asian? Anyone who knows is aware this isn’t a new phenomenon, but would it be smart for the Asian community to at least warn their members and children to be aware of the racism which is leading to vicious assaults?
I say yes, it is not only warranted, but downright necessary. I’d also like to hear what your conversation was with your own kids. How did you frame the issue we face and dignify his perception of receiving “looks?”
What we're exposed to shapes our responses. If we are sheltered, a limited sampling of experiences may cause us to prematurely make conclusions. I told my son there are many possibilities as to why couple of people may have given him a nasty look, next time ask "is everything ok?"
By the way, my wife has enough asian in her that she looks Indonesian. Many of us make assumptions about each other and we go about living life as zombies.
It's not going to work out. Sometimes, it just doesn't. You're a minority within a minority. I don't know what I'd do if I were you, but you will always be an other to us. Because you are.
Thought the same thing earlier today.
The domain change itself didn't change anything but the domain.
