I witnessed the full clown world at my gym today, Note that I live in a blue city, lots of folks medical, university at my gym. Healthy 31 yo guy who had Covid (confirmed) a couple months ago gets on his phone and says "I can get a vaccine if I go right now!). I said, hey didn't you have Covid recently? Yes. So why would you get the vaccine? Oh just insurance. Someone else jumps in and says, "The immunity from the vaccine will last longer." (I'm pretty sure that is NOT true from what I've read, etc). I read the room & shut my mouth. He goes, gets his stupid vaccine. Comes back and announces "I did it!" All these idiots cheer and say "good job!" Insanity. I guess now he can go get his free Krispy Kreme.

I read an article posted here earlier that the mRNA vaccines were designed to be therapeutic (treat the illness), not to build immunity, prevent infection or prevent transmission.
That's wrong. The vaccines are like a therapeutic in that they use the mRNA to have your cells make changes, but the changes make your body respond to what they understand the virus looks like.
It's the first time it's being widely used for this purpose, but the mechanism is of immune response and immune system training.
Granted, sometimes vaccines are used therapeutically (like rabies), so I'm not going to say it won't help as a therapeutic. But it's not the main purpose.
