It's weird. There are tons of people I knew pretty well that were objectively intelligent. It's almost like they are afraid of thinking a certain way. They close down that part of their brain and refuse to open it or they will get smited. I've always been the type to want to explore my thoughts and understand even the most egregious reflections. It's not demented thoughts like calls to the void or anything but a willingness to really think about ugly truths and what not. It's actually caused me some strife because people think I am a demented person. Nothing is forbidden that's all. I know the good. I really think it comes down to this with a lot of people. They don't want to entertain the notions that shit may be going in a very bad direction. They would rather cover their eyes and hope it all goes away.

you just saved me months and months worth of piecing thoughts together in a tangible, meaningful way that even my center left gf can understand..... and understand ME better.. it'll take more elbow grease to work on the in laws.. but thank u pede nicely put .

Glad someone got something out of that ramble, pede. Godspeed.

Just look at who is bragging about being vaccinated. Libs and many of them retired teachers. Dumb as a door.

StrongIsland 9 points ago +10 / -1

This is the biggest issue for me... how am I supposed to respect, support and fund an educational system that is clearly ill informed, mis-managed, and outright purposefully dumbing down our youth. It’s the opposite of education, I’ve lost respect for today’s teachers and the education system in general, public, private or parochial schools make no difference, they are all failings.

People have been conditioned to believe that because life is unfair/imperfect, we should give the government a wide berth to fuck up everything and destroy the lives of innocent people. That the system is simply too big and too unruly to be brought under control, or even confronted. The reality is that these atrocities are being committed by corrupt individuals in the government-- individuals who can be removed from office.

We need to hunt these evil people down, and rip them away from the levers of power.

I find it very challenging. I always struggled in school and was behind everyone in everything. The last one to get something or to know things. I couldn't perform to the same level as my peers in most things and was generally excluded from most things unable to keep up or function properly.

I think everyone experiences some level of mismatch and disillusionment growing up and becoming an adult. This however is something else and on whole new level.

I'm seeing adults, older, more experienced and more accomplished than I am running the show displaying the level of intelligence of an eight year old. It's not only seeing the mass pandemic of retardation among the higher ranks but also the open corruption.

There have always been idiots, cheaters, etc. This is not the same. It's broad and wide reaching. It's not the odd bad person and normal people but the odd normal person and many bad people. It's as if the minimum standard of decency, honesty and intelligence have rapidly dissolved.

There's no more collective common sense where for example regardless of your stance on a political debate that nothing can be worse than for example judges no longer operating in the interests of common justice.

The level of retardation is what I find really staggering. When you come from an intellectually difficult and challenging background you hope for those that are better bestowed and find the same circumstances inherently easier to handle at least some of the problems beyond the rest of us.

The levels of retardation I am seeing, for example from the WHO are levels I wouldn't even think I would have to decipher and explain to anyone unless dealing with children or the clinically retarded. For example the WHO statement that a particular fish could not have come from the river because fish come from the ocean. That's no the level of intelligence you would expect from people ate the very top that are meant to represent the best of the best. That the kind of statement I would expect from someone recovering after being shot in the head. That's one case out of and endless barrage of completely insane and nonsensical statements from people in these kinds of positions.

OK, I saw this and I had to respond. My husband was the same, slower to learn, slower to read and grasp. But he RETAINS!

Many of those people that were whiz kids don't retain, and don't have a deep learning experience. They are rote learners. I can read a book and then read it years later and it's like a newish book.

My point is that I told my husband, his type of learning is a more thorough deep level of learning, he KNOWS, when he learns something, he doesn't just regurgitate it at a later date, he builds it like blocks. It's what actually makes him horrible at Language arts but and excellent chemist and now engineer.

Fast sharp learners aren't always the long game intelligent people that can process difficult concepts.

4
muslimporn 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm not always the best at remember things either but I didn't give up on exercises for the brain either which in many cases could be the only difference.

There are differences as well between when people stop learning, a candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

The problem is the phenomena we're seeing really doesn't fit any explanation all that well for me.

I've studied and experiences all kinds of phenomena relating to this including hilarious cases of people being too smart and always seeing a short cut or basically cheating to get ahead and then suffering later when they haven't done most of the real work and don't know how to do it.

The huge gulf I see isn't explained by that. It's the sheer magnitude of it, the scale of it. Both the enormous extent of the retardation and deception. Cases where the greatest heights of stupidity and blatant lying is unanimous or unanimously accepted.

I really thing that there is a psychological disease going around and they have it, some people are immune for various reasons, I might get off simply because I'm not all that socially inclined and my social instinct is dulled or because I just have an odd personality profile.

I've often seen religion a bit like a computer virus for humans but one in the west we've largely become immune to such that either people don't get it or its largely benign. In its place a super bug has filled the vacuum. They are then in effect lobotomised a bit like when you get a virus that uses up all of your CPU and RAM making your computer lag, makes it unstable, corrupts files, bends it to its will, etc.

Everything I've come to understand about evolution, psychology, disease and related fields tell me this is a psychological disease and it's the real pandemic. You see patterns of it evolving through trial and error to get not the most accurate arguments but those that just work, it looks like an organism.

highlandparker 3 points ago +3 / -0

The planners have been planning this for years and are thoroughly bought, I believe. The advent of spook run social media has made disagreement all but impossible unless you're willing to be ostracized-which MAGA are. So they're using Covid, plus Jan 6, and now vaccine passports to make MAGA, and any bill of rights, illegal. They will lose! Smart people like my own husband appear to be unable to think critically, like your first brilliant post described. What I think it really is, is that people who are told they're smart, like-blue checks, ivy leaguers, white color citified professionals of every kind, refuse, can't even conceive of going against the spook led and dominated establishment. So it becomes an emperor has no clothes feedback loop. My sister broke out of this matrix by being a Bernie loving socialist who saw the rigged vote in November. Weird thing is she's still a Marxist socialist. Oh well.

I think you have completely misunderstood me. I have no frustration with my husband. Despite what he was told, he is an incredibly intelligent man and a great leader of our family. My frustration is with the education system that has pegged people as "slow learners" when they are deep learners.

My husband is a scientist and an engineer. He has found his path. He also has a love of family and land, and we are creating a path to self sufficiency together. He is a strong man, and will defend his family and community if needed but he will no throw himself headlong into trouble needlessly. We are people of faith and have no fear of this.

You may want to find a good group of strong men to join and train with, it is not always easy to see meaning in posts on these boards, and your past trauma may color your views. I am no leftist and certainly no feminist.

1
doodaddy 1 point ago +1 / -0

you don't sound intellectually impaired in thought process or writing acumen. :) what kind of super friends did you grow up with?

2
muslimporn 2 points ago +2 / -0

It was expected in all schools to reach a minimal level of literacy including writing skill and being able to express your thought processes through writing. Since the SMS and Twitter generation a lot appears to have changed. I couldn't pass it in school and only got better later with tremendous amounts of practice.

6
SpaceCadet 6 points ago +6 / -0

Also it’s proven scientifically that propaganda works best on educated individuals. So it’s not necessarily that the people are not smart, they are actually just the right amount of smart. There is some sort of threshold to meet for propaganda to truly take root.

3
CucksForTheDonald 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup. Intelligence is the ability to figure something out. But education is the willingness to accept the claims of others and integrate them into one's belief system wholesale.

Our entire civilization rests on "standing on the shoulders of giants", but we don't notice when giants are pointing the wrong direction. Or when we climbed onto the wrong giants.

You can ignore a problem for a while, you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring a problem though.

9
TrumpWinz 9 points ago +10 / -1

ideological conformity is a psychological issue not an intelligence issue.

IF you have a super computer but fill it with bad programming and bad data it's going to malfunction and put out bad results.

We are facing a situation similar to the dominance of Catholic church domination of thought in the middle ages. IT is the reason Descartes said I think therefore I am.

IT is to rationally separate his decision making faculty from the all seeing and all knowing catholic church.

Today people are completely engulfed in the message of the church of neo liberalism through all forms of media. They are the authority on everything especially science. They excommunicate all heretics from their media platforms and demonize all infidels.

Most academically smart people are not independently minded. They are dependent upon the system for world view. In the same way you will shock a hard core christian by saying there is no god, you will get violent cognitive dissonance by telling the lay people of the Church of Neoliberalism that they worship a false god.

TrumpWinz 3 points ago +3 / -0

You're vastly oversimplifying things. I have friends that are doctors, lawyers from top law schools, engineers that graduated from top 20 programs, that are smarter than 99% of people in this country.

The problem is that they are ideologically conforming to the current environment created by the deep state media.

A rebellious construction worker who refuses to wear a mask is not smarter than a pulmonary surgeon who wears a mask because "we're all in this together."

It is psychology that is driving the decision and not intelligence.

2
aoneleggedduck 2 points ago +2 / -0

What about wearing a mask purely for the sake of keeping the peace?

I live in a state where they're still mandated. Businesses require them or else they face being shut down by jack-boots.

So, I wear it when I enter places of business because I know the cashier or even the manager or the owner have their hands tied.

I think it's stupid, but, I'm not out to cause any trouble for them.

1
2016TrumpMAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Persistence in stupidity is foolishness. There are plenty of fools at all IQ levels.

Ignorance is simply not knowing. Willful ignorance is knowing you do not know, and refusing to learn.

What we sorely need is a test akin to an IQ test, but for gullibility.

Meaning I am more than positive that someone will do something stupid that I hate everyone until hopefully proven wrong.

3
Forbidden_outcast 3 points ago +3 / -0

For me, it’s like wanting to scream from the rooftops.....

Hey idiots....... how can you not see what is going on?

3
Isolated_Patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

At this point, yeah. It's so in our face and out in the open now, how can anyone doubt what is happening all around us?

They took "don't believe your lying eyes" a little too far.

10
Donger-Lord2 10 points ago +10 / -0

Not really. We waltzed into the Capitol with little resistance on 1/6. Imagine what we could do if we brought 1776 measures with us.

6
Pearls_Swine 6 points ago +6 / -0

Because they let us. They wanted it to happen.

1
Parhelion12 1 point ago +1 / -0

You are right, but do not underestimate their fear and incompetence. The military is full of morons. Take away their air superiority and you have a solid chance. The people currently oppressing us are truly retards, and I still don't understand why we don't walk right up and occupy all of goddamn DC.

This country is ours for the taking, we just need some organization.

That changes once the UN is in charge. We better start marching down the war path before then...

I’m not positive the next war will be a pew pew war. Not here, anyway.

The next revolution will happen differently. It will be over before we know it, with minimum or no pews at all.

I may be wrong, but I believe the next war has to come from inside the machine itself. It’s almost impenetrable from the outside.

I also actually believed CNN was not bias until mid summer last year (20) and started paying attention to news and politics. It is amazing how much we now. Trump has shown us everything we need to see. Also FBI is as corrupt, worthless, and bias as they come. Hey FBI dickheads reading this... You suck ass.

3

Anyone who mindlessly still believes our government or the media is just a straight up imbecile. They have been lying for decades, starting wars based on lies. And they all pushed those lies. And I think the majority of people realize this, and the media just makes it seem like everyone agrees with them.

3
CiaramellaLevelSoy 3 points ago +3 / -0

FBI should be 3rd on the list.

3
AmericanPatriotPride 3 points ago +3 / -0

Even stupid people understand things like starvation, homelessness, having your kids taken away, ect.

When they finally notice that their dear blue leaders see their pain and care not, then the great awakening may happen.

People are cowards and morons who take freedom for granted like never before. Until it changes their lives for the worse, they will keep parroting the bs.

This person must have just figured out the internet. For decades, I've been flabbergasted by the fact that a lot of people don't know the difference between your and you're as well as there, their, and they're. What made this worse is that there are people who defend those that use the wrong form which just justifies and further pushes the downgrading of society.
