Makes sense to me. Why bother with a lot of modern churches. Most of them are infested with lefties. For example, I have no interest in joining a current United Methodist Church branch, even though it is what I would have associated with in my youth, then left for personal reasons, and started thinking about rejoining until I learned that they are going to split whenever they actually have the convention to vote on the split. No interest in joining a leftist church.
Yeah, a common theme is that current theology has been weakened by "feel-good" preaching, religious conglomerates that treat faith like a strip mall restaurant franchise (for example, Elevation Church), and the pastors just not having a good understanding of Christianity in general to apply it to their congregation's daily lives and answer and discuss deeper questions they may ask.
