I've been huffing hopium tonight so take my thoughts with an entire salt mine, but I think the FaceTrumpBook is the key to stopping the steal and returning Trump to the White House this year just like the Qkids have promised us. Or it will be a great place for spicy memes while America collapses.
There's not really a point. Trump should be spending his time lobbying the GOP to (or supporting candidates who support) revamp legislation on big tech.
Regulate moderation of political speech (a new fairness doctrine would be a good place to start). Rework Section 230 to prevent big tech from hiding behind it while still acting as publisher. Make big tech report any favoring of one party or candidate by their algorithm or actions as an in kind political donation. And most importantly, ban corporations of all kinds from making financial or in kind contributions to voting systems. Allowing billionaires to bribe election officials, selectively send get out the vote messaging to certain democrat-leaning populations, and control web traffic for voting is a disaster.
Him making yet another social media site that will have no real market power beyond his own posts won't do anything. It will be no different than his press releases now.
The game has been rigged. Monopolies on the town square have been erected by FB and twitter. You can't combat that by building a soap box in your basement.
Stupid for them to separate. They should join resources for one platform only.
