I listened, in fact I voted Republican for the first time in my 46 years, same with my wife, first time we weren't Blue Dog Democrats even though we knew it was largely symbolic in our Bethesda, MD town. I was raised to respect ALL, not in spite of, not because of, and not inspired of a person's race, but ALL...regardless of race so long as the INDIVIDUAL person is deserving of respect. I'm raising my two kids in the same manner, same values I was raised with, no honor or shame about our race, we're all individuals who honor and respect the merit of the individual and I don't give half a damn what my school, town, county, state, country or President says about that, it's my individual RIGHT to do as I fucking choose so long as I'm not infringing on others' rights! My kids will do as they choose as well, I can only teach them the ways of valid logic, objectivity, merit, responsibility, honor, truth, facts, science, history, and tradition, the rest is up to them to navigate this world full of liars, cheats, scum, and BS sellers. Unfortunately, my kids have it worse than I did, they have a media/press that also lies and supports liars, they have to actively work against corporations and influencers and see through their BS. I feel like I'm doing my best though, we constantly see the nonsense and don't needlessly expose ourselves to garbage like the Grammy porn show, youtube BS, sports that promote nonsense (we're into NHL and European soccer), etc. I'm an atheist (raised Catholic) and we attend mass every Sunday since it reopened a month ago. We place flowers on soldiers' graves at my local cemetery (including the two CSA), and pack lunches for homeless every Thursday and Monday. We're good people, and no matter what the BLM and critical race theory people say I will continue to be proud of my OWN accomplishments! I'll be proud of my wife's accomplishments, proud of my kids' accomplishments! None of the good we give this world we share will EVER be because of a person's skin color or ethnicity, that would be racist. I apologize for my rant, have a great day!
