What bothers me is that you have a constitutional right to bear arms and you are using that weapon in a legal constitutionally protected way and yet the police can force you to disarm and lay on the ground.
The police don't show up at the scene with all the evidence in hand. When all they have is, "OMG! There's a guy with a gun about to kill someone!" the first order of business is to get the physical situation nailed down so they can start gathering evidence.
Because the police were there at the scene, watching passively as Antifags were attacking people, and didn't step in until an American dared to defend his property and well-being.
