Lol good luck in NY if you ever have to use that firearm. They would lock you up faster than the perp. Better off than dead I suppose, but they would ruin your life for daring to defend your life, liberty and property.
Also, are these the same police that would fuck up your life over a 30rnd magazine or a AR-15 with a pistol grip and other scary features, while they are exempt from such silly laws?
There's a difference between pro-actively enforcing the law and adding a breach of it to other charges (or as an excuse to charge at all) following an incident.
Which is the point BuyPepe was making, and that you ignored.
I live in upstate NY in the only liberal country up here, abd my local department actually seems to like when we own firearms.
I've talked with many, they've noticed I'm carrying, and make comments like "good, everyone should be carrying in this city".

And well, locally I know quite a few cops in my town. They won't enforce those laws.
Legit nobody has ever been arrested in my town for having ar15 parts that violate the safe act.
The compliance rate in all of NYS is 0.4% I think? Not 4%, but a bit over half a % of ar15 owners.
It's a pathetically low number, so the state won't even release official stats to the public.
