You can absolutely follow Christian morality and not take the bible at face value. The bible didn't fall out of the sky, it was written by men and its chapters were cherry picked by other men, many of whom throughout history had obvious political agendas. But it's also clearly the most morally superior of the Big Three, and there's wisdom to be gained from reading it even if you're only looking at it from a purely philosophic angle. I believe there is more than what we see, as most men do, I just don't think it's an anthropomorphic sky dude that directly interferes in our lives.
