Arguably one might say (and this might not even be true) that if the vaccinated don’t mount an effective immune response, it’s because either a variant with a slightly different surface protein infected them to begin with, or a variant was made in them (something which also occurs in the non-immunized as well). If variants can and do arise in non-immunized, why the panic about the vaccine “creating variants,” even if it does turn out to be as effective at preventing infection as saline?
Furthermore, variants are variants for infection, not lethality. You still get the same coof which has a very high rate of survival.
