You can't have most good jobs without the ability to at least fly occasionally. We're already there.

Let the nogs have "the good jobs". You can feed your family with a small piece of land. Having a lot of dollars but being away from your family on business trips is an inversion of wealth. Family is wealth. They win when you decide you want to partake in the perceived benefits of modern life.
