Russia in turn has its flotilla arrayed in those seas, in Ukraine and Syria. France and Germany have warned Ukraine about doing anything rash. As it is mud season in Ukraine, any action will have to wait until June anyway.
The DS who are now running the US see Russia as a target and may even think they can win a fight with Russia in those locations, possibly if they hit both at once.
But the reality is they have no chance. Russia has strong alliances with China and Iran, if they go after Russia and Russia calls in its allies, any war involving all three will end with an occupied US.
Russia has already said that it cannot win a conventional war and would immediately use its new tech and nuclear.
As for China, they are focused on Taiwan and HK. If the US tries to protect Taiwan, China in all of the war games run to date will win, and win quickly.
With Biden, the world smells blood in the water, a lot of countries are aware that the DS is now running the US and no country wants to be caught in the middle of whatever ham fisted plan the DS has in mind.
