Idiotic pedantic response. So the first naturalization law only allowed Whites to become citizens, not Asians, Indians, Blacks, or others? Almost like they were trying to build a White country.
This was passed well after the creation of the Nation and shortly after the Constitution was enacted. It was a LAW and not a foundational document.
I am a son of the South, but a Christian first. There is no room for racism of any kind whether it be pro white, pro black or pro purple polka dot. The only separation of peoples mentioned in the Bible was by tribes worshiping IDOLS and those worshiping GOD.
I was never so proud of my grandfather as when I read his sermon notes from 1968 in the midst of race riots in Houston when he called out those who misused scripture to attempt to validate their ignorance on racial matters. There is but one race that matters and that is the Human Race. While there are other beings which are not HUMAN such as Angels and Demons, all of humanity began with his creation which he called good and MAN(KIND) which he called VERY GOOD.
