I have to be real careful with this story because I grew up listening to metal music that had very clear lyrical themes regarding Satanism and a hatred of Christianity.

So I'll stick to something I can comfortably criticize - Lil Nas X is a disgusting faggot.

It's good that you have awareness to keep clear. It's demonic activity trying to weaken a lot of people.

I could go into why the term "satanic panic" came about, but - 3 letters.

Pretty sure it was white suburban moms in the 80ss

Nope. SRA (satanic ritual abuse) was declared by the FBI as "found no evidence." Therefore it doesn't exist :/

These survivors need help more than anyone else, and the mental health industry has abandoned them. This is satan trying to create hell on earth.

Most of the metals "satanists" are edgy tryhards, often admitting that it's for the image purposes only and even some of them being Christians in private

It's certainly about image for most, but I think the point stands that the lyrics say what they say. Lil Nas X's "Montero" is like a children's song compared to some of the stuff coming out of the death and black metal community.

Well, yeah there are certainly many real guys putting their money when their mouth is, Varg Vikernes being I think the prime example of all time. Nergal of Behemoth is also quite a controversial figure, tearing bibles and shit, but he's an atheist and doing it mostly for shock value, also he has beef more with catholic church (to some extent, rightly so) than faith in general

But it's marginal

Tom Araya of Slayer was singing and saying many different things, from devil worship to genocide, yet he's a devout catholic in private, saying most of the lyrical themes are influenced by Kerry King, since he's supposedly into this sort of stuff. There are many examples of this.

Haha, so it's your fault! The metal I listened to (listen to) was only about girls and stuff. It might skirt around hell or the devil occasionally just to sound hardcore.

Which is funny because it seems like any music that falls even remotely under the category of "metal" gets this reputation for being "of Satan." So weird to me.

Well before you, a bunch of European pagans preached to children that they should be good for Santa's sake, saying that God is good, but Santa gives you presents! And if your parents aren't rich, you get nothing anyway, so there's no reason to be good. And if you are rich, and you see a kid with no presents, it's because God hates them and only loves you.

It's like someone made a really lazy anagram for Satan. IMO, I still don't get why any Christians want anything to do with Santa. He's close enough to morality that it's appealing, but he's so far away from God in every important aspect. He's the posterboy for legit Satanism.

Where is your proof?

I've always saw Santa Claus as a representative of goodness and happiness. I never thought to put some negative connotation.

It's a representation of greed, lies, and relative morality. Santa Claus is antithetical to the Bible.

Giving and getting gifts from family is aligned with the Bible. But when children receive gifts from their parents for Christmas, they didn't deserve them. Just like we don't deserve God's grace. God set aside our shortcomings to bring us into the family to share in his gifts. We did nothing to deserve them. But he also wants us to share his gifts with others who don't know him well.

Santa gives gifts to good boys and girls, which means that if you got gifts you were not bad. But that's impossible because all kids misbehave. And to compare some behavior to others is known as relative morality.

Lastly, Santa is a lie, so it harms your relationship with your kids when they find out you have been deceiving them. It's very hypocritical to tell your kids not to lie, but then you lie to their faces about something so trivial as a known fake character.

And it also clamors for time and space on Christmas when Christmas is for God alone.
