I agree that some of these issues are still alive. The nature of "a thing" is unresolved. Is it material or something Platonic ? The really big one is the notological status of human consciousness and awareness. That's hot today and always has been, with a brief interlude by behaviorism in the 60 and 70s.

I am as materialistic as my previous post indicated.
