I'm not sure what this is supposed to accomplish. You have a better chance of finding a moral woman in a church then almost anywhere else. The fact that the world has change does little to change the benefits of a church for finding a mate because it's still true.
If you don't pair bond in your teens and early 20's your chances of finding an ideal mate diminish significantly. After 40 they nose dose. The best advice you can follow if you want a mate is to ignore the extraneous bullshit in popular culture that works tirelessly to discourage you and get to it. Church based volunteer work is where you should focus your efforts if you want a virtuous Christian woman. When you're not at church work on your job, your education and your health. As much as we would like to believe that women are the homemakers it is the men who are responsible for creating for themselves an image that is attractive to a woman who wants to find a partner to raise kids with. That means good health, good job, good home, good personality. If you have all 4 of those 99% of your work is done. You don't have to be a GQ model, whatever that means these days, but you do have demonstrate you can meet the basic needs of a family minded woman.
This isn't 60 years ago when women still required permission from their husbands to get a job or loans or whatever. They are free to be independent of men and that means men have to work harder than ever before.
When? Where? I've been to many churches throughout Central Florida, and the one demographic you won't find is single, childless females under 40. Maybe in 1988, but not now.
Not Mormon, but when I lived in Utah, most single dudes would all say and do the same thing - head for "Singles Ward."
Full of women who only want one thing out of you (a temple wedding, methinks.)
Being Roman Catholic, we have no real equivalent, but if you get involved with parish life enough (and if it's a traditional parish), you tend to find out pretty quickly who is single, looking, and from there the matchmaking almost happens organically.
Thats also cuz they dont know anything. They dont have the experience to realize that church is anti corruption and gubment. And teenage girls dont really care about gubment and corruption.
Yup. All of the churches around me closed down for the scam. I want to find a church so bad but will have to move more rural before finding a legit one.
I stopped going to any place that shut down because they fear government and a china virus over God. They are a terrible witness to the rights and freedoms that we wholesomely value bestowed by our Creator! AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!
Yep - we got pretty creative about how we met up, and our based priest found ways of getting around the diocese restrictions (didn't they tell you? We all required Last Rites, long-form with both Liturgies, because of the 'coof you know. Just so happens that it's needed every Sunday, and for a group of us).
He said (paraphrased) that they never stopped saying Mass during the Black Death, so why stop doing it now?
You ever get a preacher/priest/rabbi like that, you treasure the hell out of him.
That's my church and no one wears masks. The pastor is 100% based. What matters in a church is if people care about knowing Christ and walking with Him vs going to church for ANY other reason. The problems that happen happen when people don't follow God. Which happens to be a decent amount of ppl in churches. You'd think people in church would be there because they care about God, but the truth is many use church.... To find a spouse, to get points with God, for a social life. Anything but God.
My church went online when the virus was new and no one knew about the risks, but as soon as step clubs and bars were deemed “essential services”, the pastors knew what was up.
One church in my city determined to stay open. They've been fined over $2 million, but they refuse to shut down. Their attendance has grown over 400% & the pastor told people to carpool or find some other mode of transportation because there isn't enough parking. They won 2 lawsuits against the local Health Department, both of which ended up in the Supreme Court.
Awesome! The only religious places I know that stayed open during the shamdemic were the Orthodox synagogues and Muslim mosques. Every Christian and Catholic church shut down and went "virtual"
When I thought I couldn’t get any madder, sadder. Pow. It happens again. No real men of God there! Fourtyandfourtyfive would have went to jail that day. Pulling up anyone praying, much less a pregnant woman. What happened to church asylum?
I get mad at my church because they still distance and support masks.
I want to stand on a pew and scream at the flock. “Who is in here, afraid to die?!?”
I get the feeling the pressure is from older members. They are scared.
I left mine years ago because their "tithes" turned it into a Country Club for Christ™, complete with gymnasium, bowling alley, racquetball courts, hot tubs, movie theater...
The last woke mission trip I went on I realized I spent too much money to be led by some douchenozzle that believed no one was holier than him. I use my money a LOT more wisely. Maybe churches should halt pedophile hiring practices? I dunno.
Whether or not your believe he is/was the Son of God, the existence of Jesus the person is pretty much agreed on by historians as he's mentioned in the works of both Josephus and Suetonius
More evidence for Christ than Alexander the Great. Isaiah wrote about Christ 700 years before he appeared and you can read his book totally free and it’s readily available.
Table flipping is taking down the old 1080p lcd's off tables. Selling the table and tv and using the money to buy new 4k's to hang up on the wall! thumbsup Jesusland!
Ah! A fellow brother-in-Christmyth! Have an updoot!
I'm looking for a new church and would like to go. I'm not from Dallas, but seeing them go after a pregnant lady that hard for a mask I'm not loving the Catholic church right now.
I'm a Catholic and I love the history of our great Church and just the overall traditional atmosphere. Sadly these days our Church has been corrupted by cultural Marxists. I don't ever want to leave our great Church but these days I really just want to find a good conservative Priest who speaks up against the bullshit in this world
Go find yourself a traditional latin mass church my friend.
I know it's a point of controversy because of the sh%& hitting the fan in the Vatican but look up groups who make a mission of resisting the wokeness bs and maintaining tradition, such as the SSPX.
Those traditional Latin churches makes a lot of money settling illegals and refugees for our government. They are just as bad as all the rest. Fake and woke.
SSPX is mostly European (with not much a presence in the US). As long as you avoid the Jesuits (a.g. anyone with "SJ" as their title), you're generally fine.
Hang out with and around places online like The Remnant, Sensus Fidelum, wtprs.com (Fr. Zuhlsdorf's blog), and suchlike. You'll be amazed how quickly you can hook up with actual traditionalists.
SSPX just got busted in a big scandal where a teacher was a huge child molester.
Ignatian Groups are the biggest helpers of illegals, they pay for everything from transportation to food for migrants through Mexico to the USA from Central America.
Gonna echo other folks - find a traditional/orthodox Catholic parishes and priests. FSSP, ICKSP, etc. Eastern Catholic parishes and priests are also good. They're legit and based. Unfortunately mainstream Catholicism (some folks call it the Novus Ordo Church) is cucked out. Check out Church Militant, Taylor Marshall, Tim Gordon, Regina Magazine, OnePeterFive, just to name a few.
Oh, check out Abp Vigano. He is a yuge trump supporter.
I'm a Catholic and I'm struggling too - I need to go to Confession real bad. Unfortunately my blood pressure goes up whenever I see a bishop, and I unfortunately assume a priest/bishop is a fag and/or a heretic until I get to know them. I know it's wrong and uncharitable, but alas I am a wounded mortal.
I was a Catholic and I have found a Christian church that is not afraid of COVID, lets kids play together without masks and has been open all lockdown. I have switched and it is a much nicer place to be! very uplifting to be with positive people with the same mindset (aka not delusional sheep)
I know people who drive an hour and a half to go to their parishes. Worth it if you are worried about keeping the faith alive in your family. Although I am extremely lucky and grateful to have 5 TLM parishes within an hour (one of them, my home parish, is only 12 minutes away). There are even some non-TLM parishes that offer the TLM occasionally, such as first Saturdays.
Maybe try finding a new priest nearby that is only within a few years of being ordained. It is my experience that they tend to be much more conservative than the older priests and many are passionate about the TLM, even if they aren't able to celebrate it regularly. Most of the young leftists have already left the Church, leaving a smaller but more devout young Catholic population.
Edit: Changed number of parishes from 4 to 5. I forgot about a new one that opened recently.
My mother enjoys the Loretto Abbey mass online. She taught Sunday school and Catholic 2nd grade for 30 years, and she can't stomach what's happened to the Catholic church in her lifetime. She feels the Loretto mass feels like a throwback to the 1970s.

Make a list of all the churches nearby and convenient to where you live.
Then filter them. Spend a couple months visiting a different one each weekend. Go to the evening bible studies and fellowship dinners to really get to know the congregation better.
I think finding a good church is really important for a married family with children. That extra network of support becomes an extended family you can rely on. It's much easier to trust doctors, lawyers, contractors, and people who go to the same church as you do. It becomes a community and extended family.
Of course Jesus is the leader. But the Pope is the leadership of the Catholic Church on Earth. The amount of corruption going on in the Catholic Church is not something I want to be a part of.... because the "leadership" or whatever we want to call our pope, bishops and priests are corrupt and the pope is now condoning abortion, something Jesus Christ would never support.
If your best friend lives next door, and he leaves his house to go away for 6 months, and his daughter takes over the house, and throws her dog's shit in your yard and tears up his house. Do you stop talking to your best friend? Worse than that- do you say "Screw it" and move away? Or, do you call your friend and let him know what his daughter is doing to his house and your lawn?
Where else would we go, Lord? You have the words of everlasting life.
I would recommend going to Traditional Latin Mass. most of the laity is very conservative and strictly follow Catholic principals. No picking and choosing which rules you like. You’ll also find a lot of young families with many kids. Also strongly against LGBT propaganda.
She has butt implants. That alone puts her on the "pay no mind' list. She's catering to a demographic I want nothing to do with, and she looks ridiculous.
My church just sent out a survey about the upcoming racial justice sermon series. I told them if they go through with this and push the divisive rhetoric (we are a very mixed church. Whites, asians, AA, literal africans) I'll be finding a new church.
My church that married us censored conservative voices, has a cardboard cutout of Biden they worship like an idol, and says traditional conservatives are corrupted by Satan.
Seriously.
God's houses have fallen. The horses have been saddled and the Riders are approaching.
Like now, as in the time of the apostles, some of the new churches were making mistakes and incorporating the surrounding pagan culture into their teachings. That’s what so many of Paul’s letters in the books of the New Testament were written to rectify. It is history that is being repeated right now. The Bible based churches should understand this, and many do. Many of the denominational churches have fallen to the propaganda, perhaps even from a takeover of the seminaries that teach the priests. Others have pastors who are too caught up in this worlds culture, who are virtue signaling in an effort to be relatable and increase their congregations, not understanding what the news and the media influencers are preaching is not what their congregations really want. So people are leaving. Unlike what so many in this thread are saying, God’s houses have NOT fallen, not those that were strong to begin with. The false will destruct, but that leaves those that walk with God. Make an effort to find a church that preaches the Bible. There is one near you, but it may not be the denomination or non-denomination you were expecting. But the church for you, that walks in Gods footsteps, is waiting for you.
Yep, there are some. It is because of the false converts that unbelievers mock God. Sorry you feel that way but the tithe is the Lord’s and fallible men are to be the stewards. Unfortunately the world found its way into the American church and left a bad taste in your mouth.
That's what I've done, but of course I had some faggy Catholic attacking me the other day because he apparently knows exactly what Jesus would want me to do.
I'll continue worshipping Jesus in my way without relying on some fallible middleman of a perverse, corrupt religion to speak on my behalf.
The Devil betrayed God in a particularly bad way which severed their relationship.
It's unclear whether Judas had a relationship with God, but it sounds like he didn't. It sounds like Judas really struggled to understand who Jesus was.
If you know God and seek God through the Bible, then you have a relationship with him. Generally that means you're saved.
I blame a lot of this on the churces themselves. Too much wokeness BS is driving people out. I am just as Christian as before, but I refuse to attend wokeness indoctrination services.
Yep you really don't learn anything about Christianity in churches anymore, even before all this started you got a bunch of water down nonsense, the pastor would open his Bible and read the good parts of it, you never actually learned anything about Christianity, you just learned a bunch of nice proverbs that meant nothing without the proper context.
It's why many from the millennial and younger gens aren't religious. What was offered wasn't captivating. This is unfortunate because the Bible is captivating, but it takes some thoughtfulness to unfold the treasures within. Muh evolution tho.
Also because of years of TV-preacher justifying private jets to be "closer to god" and getting arrested for using church money to buy mansions. People like that make a farce out of religion.
Same goes for the catholic church. The pope is nothing more than a glorified mother in law giving his useless shitty opinion on every topic without providing a solution.
So kids turned to the much "cooler" science instead but overshot the target and now live in pseudo-science world where men menstruate and can give birth.
No one did more to damage Christianity than so-called Christian leaders. Just like the Religious Right drove people away from conservatism because they were asshoe.
We had a generation of Jesus freaks after 9/11. Some grew to know a true God, others trusted a bunch of people who used morality (theirs) to justify everything including foreign wars. No one questioned their charisma and they even got people to want to believe some of the most outlandish things. Like Moses and Jesus were actually validated by archeology thus making the entire fantasy 'real.'
Our church was good about this. Dive into the latin, hebrew, greek, aramaic. Talk about classic theologians and answer the hard philosophical questions.... it was what kept me engaged and learning about my faith. But they've taken a turn for the woke recently.
What I believe is the largest church in Southern California shut down (might be open now), but it was a feel good no substance place (pastor wrote a bunch off feel good books).
Another church in their area, one that teaches through the Bible book at a time, started doing services in a mall parking lot (in addition to their normal service at their building) that mostly drew in people who used to go to the huge church.
I heard from staff pastors from the smaller church that those from the huge church were blown away, people weeping, because they had never heard the Bible taught.
The shut down has been a sifting: the fakes in good churches left, and the genuine in weak churches have left for good churches. There are less overall, but who is left are stronger.
I do know some large churches that I believe are good -- a large gathering of people isn't always bad -- but once they add satellite campuses they have jumped the shark.
I think some forget that when the orthodox churches started their style of service, it was a pop show of sorts. The decorations and costumes were extravagant for the time, something you couldn't see anywhere else, and any music in that day and age was valued. That didn't mean the message was bad, but what is now tradition was once cutting edge; the Bible doesn't tell of Jesus, Peter, or Paul putting on their holy robes and burning incense.
In the past few hundred years too, skillful organ music and a beautiful stained glass window would draw some in more than anything pertaining to God. Again, that doesn't condemn the message being taught -- that stands or falls on its own -- but the church in Ephesus didn't have stained glass, and the church in Antioch wasn't famous for their wonderful organ music.
That is cool to hear that they found some nourishment as a silver lining to this dark cloudy time. I'm a bit surprised to read these posts about how so many churches have gone leftist. I am in an area where this isn't the case, so I'm a bit bummed to learn this.
Fascism (including Democrat fascism) is popular, especially among weak willed cowards. People are afraid of suffering the same fate as other victims of an active government + megacorporation crackdown. And fascists tell compelling lies that make it sound like their opponents are evil and deserve to be driven out of polite society.
Unfortunately, some pastors have jumped on the Democrat fascism bandwagon. It's disgusting.
Drove by a church with BLM posted on their billboard. Fucking pathetic. The church has been infiltrated by weak men and crazed leftist lonely cat women
The fundamentals of the Bible have long been unpopular, so many sold out long ago. The Bible, for instance, is very clear that a woman is not to be a pastor/deacon; this clear directive has been very unpopular for decades in many churches.
Paul even gives the reason plain: "For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor." (1 Timothy 2:13-14)
And we see, those churches that have rejected this have indeed been deceived, and many have themselves become deceivers.
Controversial opinion here, but I don’t believe women make good leaders. They excel over men in other areas, but as for leadership, they just don’t get the job done.
Women are natural followers. Even the so called “independent and ‘need no man’ women despise an indecisive and passive man. Wether it’s the bedroom or making life decisions, women respect a man that can take charge, protect, and be competent in life situations.
I believe this to be fact, and it shouldn’t be controversial. We can see globalists have pushed thousands of women into leadership positions for a reason, are we now weaker or stronger than 6 decades ago? Pretty clear
Women are natural negotiators for peace and harmony, trying to keep everybody happy. While some women can be real tough cookies, they are generally more tempted then men to bend the rules to keep things civil and nice and tolerant and happy.
However, seeing the recent theology grads, it's stunning with how many weak men become pastors. Esp. the Youth Pastors, most of whom are at least borderline malakoi.
Yeah, different isn't lesser, it just is different.
I think some people get the wrong idea because they have had bad bosses and bad leaders, who rather than lead from the front with service and sacrifice, boss others around in an unloving and unproductive way.
Sigh... we're now on our 3rd in 6 years, and feeling rather discontent again.
Every time we've left it has been due to the new-age influences infiltrating, happy-clappy music, Jesus is your big bro, Jesus wants you to be the best you that you can be. Prosperity gospel, navel-gazing to identify past hurts, and on, and on. Hillsong, Bethel, music/lyrics glorifying the self.
Nothing about sin, repentance, justification, atonement, the elements of the actual gospel. Christian churches are trying to be self-help social clubs with smoke, lasers, and emotionally manipulative music.
I can see why people are leaving them. What's the point of even going? There's no real message anymore.
Notice also that there is a push to accept bad behavior. Things like "Jesus loves you no matter what" as though we are not supposed to repent and overcome our flaws. God wants us to be perfect, it's in the Bible. So much has been twisted that I believe people leaving church is a good thing.
I think there is a segment of casual/bubble people who, when they can't physically attend on a regular/ normal schedule or experience, they just kind of go "meh" after awhile and just lose interest in doing so and I think closing churches and banning gatherings was part of the plan to take advantage of that. Not to mention, obviously, preventing people from communicating amongst themselves and having to rely on the state run media for all information.
This. It is very easy to get out of the habit and then eventually you figure Sunday will just be gun day. No telling how many good folks have fallen out and probably will not get back in. And with this scuffed ass society with hope dwindling they will see no reason to waste time going back when God has pretty much judged us already.
People who only went to sermons and didnt get involved in small groups and things like that, tended to lose interest rather quickly from my experience. At the same time, finding a small group that doesn't meet online is a pain in the ass.
I volunteered with a church for years, they had me put some proposals together and pray on them and they told me they would do the same. I called after sending them, they said they were all denied because their was no records of me ever being a paid-up and trained member. I asked if they even prayed about the proposals like they said and they said they did not. I had to walk away from the new leadership because I had a poor spirit about volunteering and I refused to comply with their new policies that they purposefully set up around me to see if I'd change for them (one psychopath).
Exactly, they claim this as if there's some sort of central database. Also, if the enemy wanted to demoralize you, this would be a good starting point, to make you feel alone..
They've been demoralizing us since November 3rd. This place is non-stop shop of mini campaigns. The Fauci/Mask is still going and I even see David Hogg replaced A. Miliano to get under our skin. The race war is the most recent. We must know every black on white crime for some reason.
As it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. - Romans 3:10–11
Sounds like you think all Christians are a bunch of holiness virtue signalers based on experience. Going to church alone is not a token of righteousness. Just like posting on TD doesn't make you a patriot.
You pulled the words wholesome and righteous out of thin air. I don't think OP or anyone else was making that claim and I'm not arguing with you that church doesn't make people righteous.
I imagine the OP's point doesn't stem from church attendance itself. Since less people are going to church, it would follow that less people are religious, and that would be bad.
Of course we have no idea how true that is (people being less religious), especially since surveys are often very flawed or not comprehensive enough to give an accurate idea of reality.
I’m a Christian not a Churchian. I don’t worship the Church. A lot of people still go to the Super Saver Wholesale Mega Churches but I’m not into all the theatrics and stage productions. I prefer to get my inspiration from the Book and not an IMAX screen in Dolby Stereo. If I was going to go to a church it would be one of the old time small community churches and not one of the new politically correct whatever feels good and makes you happy churches.
Gallup asked the people they polled for this if they were still religious and 7/10 respondents said yes. That actually shows strong support for religion imo.
That's still a huge decline. In the year 2000, 90% of respondents said they were religious. In 2010, that number was 84%. Now it is 76%. America is becoming less religious and at an increasing rate.
Look for an old-fashioned, traditional church that sings hymns and has tasteful architecture. It's important to have a community of believers in your life to help when you need it. Doctrine is most important, obviously, but you get what I mean. I grew up in contemporary non-denominational churches, but they seem to be the main culprits for megachurch rock shows, topical baby food preaching, and in a lot of cases the Prosperity Gospel. I recommend (but your choice) PCA Presbyterian and not PCUSA. We left a PCUSA church 2 years ago for going woke, but the PCA is more conservative and fighting the culture war.
I found a church that didn't shut down for Easter last year, and I now attend every Sunday morning and evening. I'm now operating the sound board and recording the sermons which are posted online.
I was disappointed that my church shut down for Easter and a few weeks after. I had a key to the building and went anyway, but I was the only one there. I was just hoping that other people would feel the same as me and show up as well.
All churches are full of deeply flawed people. You won't find one that isn't.
I became a Christian in my early twenties and began looking for a church, which was difficult because there were so many churches around me (Bible-belt) and my immaturity in the faith meant I was quite uncertain how to proceed. I settled on an ARP church in my area and could not have been luckier in my choice. Maybe try a NAPARC church in your area.
My advice:
Find a church that unapologetically teaches the Faith using the Bible. Even if you have some points of disagreement, it is refreshing and comforting to be with those who share the same rule of faith and life as you and with whom you have a common reference. Look up Erik Thoennes for levels of doctrine.
Any worship service should make you feel the weight of you sin, and the weightlessness of its forgiveness.
The pastor shouldn't be richer than most of the families.
The church has to be small enough that everybody knows everybody. If thousands of people go to a church, then it isn't a church.
When people disagree, it is the cultural norm to do so respectfully and lovingly. This, more than anything else, shows the character of the church.
There is so much more, but I think that will do. I know my church has been necessary for the growth of my family and for my own life. I hope you find one that can do the same for you.
You'd have to be insane to trust women nowadays. Feminism since the 60s has fucked up that ship. Just another slice of NWO programming. Thank God for the internet / manoverse.
manoverse isn't gonna fix birthrates. One benefit of Marxists destroying the family is you actually don't have to put so much trust in women anymore. Find a surrogate or some upfront mail-order that'll sign away all custody
When they ran those areas they were supported by near-exclusively white, very well developed home countries. We invent, design, and build everything; others destroy it. Would you like to live in Zimbabwe?
They weren't allowed to move back. Once we opened up our immigration policies, hundreds of thousands of Africans started flooding in within the span of a few years. More than were brought here during the entire 3+ centuries of the slave trade.
Amen. I left the Episcopal Church when they started pushing Obama's disastrous policies. No thanks! I believe in God and accept Christ now more than ever. I just don't believe in organized religion. Completely corrupt.
Went to an orthodox christian church, only place that didn't lie to me about being a cult and fed me damn good authentic eastern european food. If I were single I'd of found me a nice euro-wife I'm sure of it.
Just find a better church. Look up The Trinity Church in Scottsdale with Mark Driscoll. He teaches men to be men and rips on all of the modern wokeness.
So not true, people on ultra left Seattle were out to get him forever. He had woke members of his congregation that were looking for an excuse to get rid of him.
I am an atheist, and same here- or rather I am concerned we do not have an alternative carrier for western values as people leave the church.
Civic nationalism in public school has long been abandoned, the church is dying (Their own fault), and no western cultural leaders exist that appeal to the young.
The majority of atheists have proven themselves too stupid to both be atheist, and not immediately replace religious doctrine with the equally dogmatic doctrine of the first culturally marxist organization they find that agrees with them that god is a lie.
... I mean I guess we have Jordan Peterson and Prager U lol
Most public atheists are about bashing religion instead of getting to the bottom of things, which requires researching many religions. Jordan Peterson and Prager are pretty cool. I think we all need to dig deep into the occult / psychedelics / shamanism to get to the good stuff that is missing in western Christianity.
I'm an unbeliever (not atheist, there's a difference) and agree with you. Judeo-Christian values are the bedrock of society. Not socialism, not islam, but the moral precepts of Christianity.
I’ve heard founders quoted as saying the republic cannot last without God’s influence on the culture of the people (we lost it). An interesting read for you might be Romans 1:18 til the end of chapter 1. Lays the blueprint of where America is currently.
Nothing wrong with teaching and instilling family values in your children using the fear of eternal damnation. Do you need to actually believe in that stuff, nope.
We are visiting a new church on Easter and haven't been in a long time. My issue is that I grew up Methodist and the church body is unrecognizable now. I refuse to pretend to tolerate or overlook in anymore. We have a sizable Four Square church in our area and I looked at their website out of curiosity and it has a section for white supremacy and racism, so that's an automatic no for me.
Don’t need church to be a good Christian especially when the Church is running rampant with corrupt pedo satanists masquerading as priests and the like.
Except, you're not lol. I know you're really, really confident that you'll close your eyes in your death bed and open them in the clouds, but if there was no heaven, you would never find out.
Your relationship with Christ is what matters most, but Jesus did not intend for Christians to live our lives void of relationships and isolated. We are to commune with fellow believers so that we might be sanctified.
The Orthodox ☦️ Church was founded by the apostles of Jesus Christ, our only savior, whose return is nigh. This church cannot be corrupted. Most others have gone awhoring for the favor of man. May the Holy Spirit bless you and guide you.
It is very corrupted! It is ran by the mob. They hide their history from outsiders and more importantly from insiders! The entire church history is a lie!
I work at a church in an admin position (LCMS Lutheran). Most in the church community are aware of this decline which has been going on since the 90s. The church I work at peaked (as far as attendance) in the early 2000s, plateaued for a while, and then started to decline about 10 years ago. We have lost about 50% of our people in the past 8 years. (Various factors involved including people just moving out of state because our state sucks, etc).
Fortunately the LCMS has remained unwoke and Bible-based. And, horrors, we don't allow female pastors.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, the downside of remaining unwoke is that the church is stuck in the past in other areas. I'm talking about the homemade newsletters with clipart from the 80s, outdated buildings with mismatched decor (because somebody donated it so we have to keep it there forever!), and a general attitude of cliques and "we've always done it this way so it can't be changed" even when there is no Biblical reason. This can be a turnoff to younger people if they weren't raised in an LCMS church, and a new modern church with a coffee shop inside is much more welcoming, even if their teaching is somewhat off....
Many churches don't realize (or want to admit) they have a problem until they look around and only the gray-hairs are left, and by then it's probably too late...
Then they close, then a super woke progressive buys the building and flsuhing everything down the drain, rinse and repeat. I almost bought a run down church building to convert into a large home where it wouldn't be so hard to open one side for all the guests and attendees. I wouldn't feel bad opening my home so much if it were bigger and spaced adequately for so many people. I still might do it one day and open some chaplancy offices and network with ministers in the area if God calls me to it.
He wanted to look like he was in an exclusive club where only 666 people can wear his gay stan sneakers. Gee, only rich gay stan worslippers can afford, oy vey!
It’s clear here in Michigan that denying people to meet at church was to make it a habit to not attend. Can’t be having conservative men meet and talk. However, on the other hand, I’ve seen the Romans 13 teaching of obey every authority have a devastating effect on our ability to respond to tyranny.
Most people are conditioned at their jobs to obey authority. IMO corporate life has done more to cut the balls off of people and make them obedient slaves that can't fight back more than anything else over the last 80 years.
The Romans 13 is often taken out of context and twisted by tyrants and the weak to justify inaction.
"Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God" has been a slogan for generations. In fact, even the quote itself can be interpreted to mean the only true authority is God Himself, not a worldly leader.
Moral decline and churchgoing aren’t necessarily related. Fact is, the church lost its way and became unfavorable to many people despite their high moral aptitude.
The degradation we see today stems from too much diversity and an unwillingness to stand up to political correctness. It has paved the way for an “all is good” attitude where dissenters are brow beaten into the shadows.
We will never go back to a time where blind faith is enough to scare people into submission. The depths of hell aren’t a dissuader and there are so many value sets that it’s impossible to find cohesion through religion.
Local church turned into CNN. Priest is complete liberal douche puppet. When I heard of fake Pope sending money to illegals crossing border and attacking Trump, I realized the Church has been compromised completely
I can’t even go. The church that I grew up in still hasn’t reopened. We now have two woke pastors happily collecting their $100k salaries, putting together half-assed online services that get like 50 views.
maybe churches should think more about what their message is - too many are just about tithes and that really turns people off (especially since that's not even a new testament thing - I guess people don't want to be told they should just be good people and that being nice to each other is what Jesus really wanted. The message of - do whatever you want, you are forgiven and will get to go to heaven anyways is pretty awful imo.
go forth and sin no more. also treat your body like a temple. even thinking a bad thought is a sin. they just don't try to really enforce that you should TRY to live like Jesus (ie perfect) even in mind, but also body. they preach that you have to do a thing (believe something) to be "saved"... it's all bullshit. the message is: BE A GOOD PERSON - and that's really all it is. Being good is it's own reward and makes your life wonderful.
Not true man. You cannot “be good” and enter the kingdom of heaven.
“as it is written, “T HERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; T HERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, T HERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; A LL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; T HERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, T HERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.” “T HEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE, W ITH THEIR TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING,” “T HE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS ”; “W HOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS ”; “T HEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD, D ESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR PATHS, A ND THE PATH OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN.” “T HERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES.” Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.”
Romans 3:10-20 NASB1995
Try reading a proper translation and read what Jesus teaches in the gospels. You are to try to be good. Your quotes are the same garbage that snake oil salesmen (preachers) use to get people to obey them (men) instead of living a righteous life. Christ did away with the "law" as you say it, that is the whole point of it. Read the beatitudes for a better understanding.
Want me to post the translation in KJV? How about Greek? Maybe this particular scripture was found in the Dead Sea scrolls, would that be more fitting? My quotes are directly from the Bible dude, dunno where you find your snake oil salesman that sell by using scripture, especially when scripture gets Christians in trouble with the world.
My point is you cannot be righteous when you have sinned against a holy God. You can repent and turn from sin, but you are incapable of being righteous apart from Christ’s righteousness given to you when you accept what he did for you on the cross.
You are making a specious argument. The point is not to think or expect to be perfect but to strive towards that.
People like you are the reason christianity is failing to reach people - you fail to understand the basic concepts of the teachings. People make fun of christians because they are fake as fuck - thinking that all they have to do is go to church and pay tithes and that believing something is what "saves you".
You've turned "the way" into a corrupt and heretical abomination.
The gospel is the only way to reach people. I know you already know what I believe since you’ve laid it out so clearly based on our past couple of interactions but if you’ll humor me for a moment maybe I’ll surprise you 😂
Every man has sinned and fallen short of the glory of a holy and just (<-key word) God. His justice must be satisfied
The wages of sin is death, eternal damnation
You cannot work to pay off your debt. You cannot earn salvation, nor would you be good enough to keep it
Christ, knowing you couldn’t, came to the earth in a human body and lived the perfect life. He took your sins to that cross and suffered God’s wrath on your behalf, paid off, you are free of guilt if you will simply believe what he did for you on the cross. If you reject this gift you are trampling his gift underfoot.
“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you - When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - You may know that your society is doomed.” Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged
And half the churches are way to "progressive" for my tastes. Catholics still have a huge pedo problem that they've tried to address but church leadership doesn't appear to have changed for the better.
My niece just went on a mission trip with a Baptist church and she started posting apologies on her Facebook for being white and having privilege as part of their program. The rot is real.
Jesus. You know what that tells me? The churches and the secular world are merging. What is the point of the church if you are just going to follow what the world does?
Churches are also filled with insipid and meaningless preaching that is centered on growing church membership. Their sermons make for good drinking games for how much they repeat words and phrases.
I had a pastor that when he said "God" it sounded like "Goy-d" he threw on a fake jewish accent just to say goy-d, I'm sure of it. My kids and I laughed everytime he did it after I pointed it out and he didn't quite know what to make of it. I left his church because he pretended to listen but only came around when he wanted me to lead some useless study he wanted me to push for him. I told him I wanted to teach something else and he told me that I would lead away the imaginary flock I hadn't gathered for him yet. Needless to say he never took me out for lunch ever again.
I agree. I have two super close friends that are hardcore, old line Catholics and any time I mention ol' Papa Frankie and his related shenanigans, they get really quiet and will not offer much comment other than something like "Oh yeah, that guy..." or "I miss Benedictine..."
Catholics are taught to see their church as the one true church and all others are just off shoots or cults. Now that their 'one true church' is being operated by what seems like a cult, they're embarrassed to even talk about it.
This comment section is filled with edge lord fags saying "Every church is woke now and I don't have to go to church to be a Christian, so NYAH!!"
Obviously there are PLENTY of churches that aren't woke in the least so it's a bit of a cop out (and the bible does say to meet and congregate as a church and hold each other accountable so saying it isn't required is another cop out), but I can't deny that the woke thing has infiltrated a large section of the non-Catholic churches as well. If we're willing to fight back for the country, we should be willing to do so for our churches too. Refusing to go anymore isn't going to stop the infiltration that is ongoing.
I don’t go to a church but hear a lot of stories of how hard it is to find a good fit. An older friend recently left her church because the preacher started vocalizing support of BLM at the time of the riots. A younger friend started going to church and everyone was in there 60s or older. Some family members will drive over an hour away to see a pastor they like but it’s only a few times a year. The woke Pope supports sinful acts like anyone without Biblical values. Even my beloved Chik-Fil-A has betrayed me like Judas.
When the church leadership is more interested in money intake, and keeping their tax exempt status than actually preaching the Full word of God, this is the result.
Did anyone tell you you don’t have to? Theres a harsh side and a good side to the gospel, hence its meaning, “good news”.
Bad news:
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death in hell.
Good news: Christ took your wages to the cross to satisfy God’s demand for justice if you will simply repent and believe in him as your atonement. Christ suffered God’s wrath so you do not have to; a holy, innocent, just man, God in the flesh, who for the joy before him took on this task.
You merely accept his propitiation for your sins on your behalf.
This isn’t a one time deal, where one accepts and moves on however. If you find you can accept this and nothing changes in your life, beware.
Religious but don't go to the meeting house, and not really a member of a church.
Grew up a big fan of the catholic majesty and pageantry but after the kid fucking and the total disregard shown. Not to mention all the hypocrites preaching faith, I kind of lost that want, to go to church.
I’m a Christian and a believer. Churches turn me off. The last church I belonged to went full retard social justice. The church before that was all about money.
Many “church people” are judgmental, lying hypocrites.
Fuck off with this demoralization poll. Get this shit out of here. They literally make this crap up. It's incredibly easy to manipulate polls like this to get the outcome you desire.
This was front page reddit yesterday (I had to log in to uninstall reddit from my phone). It's a manufactured demoralization poll being intentionally exploited to discourage church membership.
You don't need christ to be a good person. Every christ cuck I know has severe TDS and is a bleeding heart liberal piece of shit. That being said I'd prefer a Christian nation over an atheist one.
What the Bible-belt did to President Trump during the election season was total cucked out BS. Also a Southern Baptist Church I attended around the virtual inauguration was totally cucked out and did nothing to defend their defender (DJT; not Jesus!) for the past 4 years If Jesus is the spirit of god and according to christians is the church, then they put their faith in butchery to say the least. History isn't mythological!
Church is not necessary to be God fearing. I was raised catholic, went to catholic school and did everything I should have but I lost faith in the church, not my God. Gling to a building does not make you better or worse tha. Anyone else. Its how you live your life, its how you treat others, its how you show love and compassion. It's not which building you decide to kneel in.
I feel the same way born and raised catholic went to catholic schools all my life and realized as I got older how corrupt the church is. It was hard for me because I only had fond memories as a child. The services, holidays and holy days brought our community together and a place to see neighbors you wouldnt interact with during the week. But I started reading horrible things and hoped the church would clean out the evil but unfortunately just coverups and corruption. So I started reading the bible more seriously and often on my own, and realized church and a relationship with God needs to start inside yourself and manifest outward in your life. Im not surprised that people are leaving. (Matthew 23) It doesnt mean there are less Christians, it means the Holy Spirit is guiding and showing more of us the hypocrisy and evil of a lot of these churches who are misleading their congregation and Im thankful for that.
Eh, people should have a right to choose their own spiritual paths. Raised Catholic but I certainly don't belief or follow any organized religion. I've developed my own spiritual beliefs over adulthood.
This is awful and does look awful but there might be more to this than meets the eye. I think that a ton of people these days say they are Christians but aren't members of churches. Churches don't require membership in their churches either these days like they used to.
It used to be a big deal for my parents to get membership at a church but the last few churches I've been to never brought it up at all and I don't even know if they have a formal "membership" program.
Media have taken over the traditional role of brainwashing, accompanied by leftist universities and liberal gradeschools.
The rise in lying by the Left shows what they believe in, and it's not good. Their souls are petty and base and self-centered in general. And they're ruled over by the ones who accept Satan as their lord.
Do not discount the value of belonging to a Christian faith community. Many studies have shown the benefits to ones health and longevity from a prolonged Christian ✝️faith community commitment. It is NOT easy to locate such a fellowship, but you were Not promised easy. I dont care if you meet in your house or a designated building, you need to fellowship and commune with other Christians. Lone wolf Christians are not supported in the Scriptures. Where will your children meet other Godly believers? Where will your children meet Godly spouses? How will you build your multi generational LEGACY?
Do not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much more, as ye see the day approaching. -Heb10:25
Not everyone religious is a member of a church/goes to services
These days half the churches are run by "progressive christian" faggots whose ideology is more destructive than not going.
And the holier than thou crowd who goes every Sunday because it makes them feel better about being a piece of shit the rest of the week
A lot of people go to pick up women
Almost all the women in churches I go to are already married.
Perhaps a good place to meet women if you are a teenager or very young adult.
It's hard to meet single women in their late 20's or 30's in church. All the good ones get scooped up and married quickly, as you'd expect.
I found mine there & she's wonderful, even after 40 years of marriage.
This isn't 40 years ago; things have drastically changed.
Nah, middle age single women go to church too man.
I knew lots of singles. Almost every town has a church with a singles group. These guys don't go to very many churches apparently.
When? Where? I've been to many churches throughout Central Florida, and the one demographic you won't find is single, childless females under 40. Maybe in 1988, but not now.
Being married church going woman doesn't stop them from cheating. I know many cheaters who have picked up other men's wives from church.
which is extra funny since adulatory is a sin
america is literally the new babylon. and we deserve all the wrath we will surely recieve
Sin attacks us all church or not, only jesus was perfect.
Well, the church today is heavily communist compromised and refuses to scare Away non repentant whores by preaching the truth so it makes sense.
Weimar Germany comes to mind.
Sin of the flesh is a mighty one when temptation calls... Remember, Eve told Adam to eat the apple...
Pray tell, if not church then where?
I used to have luck at the libraries. The ones in heat give off a scent. Ask them to show you where you can find a book on their favorite subject.
The sluttiest women I've ever met were church-goers, so you may be on to something with that statement.
EDIT: Slutty church girls found this post. lol
Yep. The girls from the local Catholic HS were without a doubt the hardest partying chicks I knew.
That's Catholic though. Not sure why but they drink and party a lot it seems...
It's a hard life when your religion was subverted by power hungry politicians from another religion.
Also dealing with pedos.
Thats also cuz they dont know anything. They dont have the experience to realize that church is anti corruption and gubment. And teenage girls dont really care about gubment and corruption.
Now you tell me.....
hmmm....
Jesus is my copilot and we're cruising for pussy
This is so heretical, but so funny.
Imma pretend you are talking about touchdown "jesus".
I don't go to church. I actually despise it. I say my prayers but I don't need to give money to a parish to believe in a higher power.
At least read the Bible. Idgaf if someone doesn't go to church because the Bible is the primary way God speaks to us.
THAT would be an awesome shirt!
Alot of pastors go to pick up children.
I think we should take a page out of the Amish book here, and have congregations meet at a different members house every Sunday.
Reminds us to keep our house/property presentable and keeps sickos from being able to groom children. And psychos from shooting the church up.
True story, I first went to church because I got invited by a girl I liked.
Bunch of pharisees
Weren't they all shut down over the China virus anyway?
You can usually judge a church's character by their willingness to meet in person despite state restrictions.
Haha, this 100%.
AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!
Beware of a church that operates out of fear. The Holy Spirit is absent.
They sure did. They closed at the most important time in my adult life, excluding 9-11.
When the church could have been ready to receive the fearful and vulnerable, they shut down and became the worst witness to the power of gospel!
It's an indictment and a judgment.
Amen (and not 'awomen'🙄). In the past, Christian missionaries would risk martyrdom by preaching in hostile lands and leper colonies. Instead, a few days ago, a pastor called police to protect his
churchbusiness by threatening to arrest those who refuse to wear the almighty mask. 🤬https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/03/unreal-pregnant-catholic-woman-arrested-holy-mass-not-wearing-mask-ratted-pastor-video/He bows to the feet of the evil one. A disgrace!
True. Its our responsiblility to disregard unlawful mandates.
Amen, Brother! They were cowards!
Omg! You must know my mother in law!!
Agree 100000%
IMO, the churches going "progressive" is why membership has dropped.
I left mine years ago because their "tithes" turned it into a Country Club for Christ™, complete with gymnasium, bowling alley, racquetball courts, hot tubs, movie theater...
I would rather that than spending money on woke missionary trips.
"mission trips" for most churches are just an excuse to raise money to go on vacation
Yea, I was never convinced of this garbage. It was usually the same family that would go on each one. Faggots.
The last woke mission trip I went on I realized I spent too much money to be led by some douchenozzle that believed no one was holier than him. I use my money a LOT more wisely. Maybe churches should halt pedophile hiring practices? I dunno.
I would love to see the tableflipping in that temple.
Had Jesus existed, of course.
Whether or not your believe he is/was the Son of God, the existence of Jesus the person is pretty much agreed on by historians as he's mentioned in the works of both Josephus and Suetonius
Whatever you believe to be true, I wish you happiness and resolution.
Seems like a decent time to ask WWJD
Free whip samples.
And doots to you as well
Same here. They would pan handle the majority of the hour and replace sermons with happy happy song time.
Yep. And there are a lot of money changers in the temple
I stopped going when the sermons got replaced with singing and panhandling.
The number of Bishop Sheens is declining rapidly.
Im not catholic but I love archbishop sheen. I wish I knew who he pissed off that is preventing his canonization.
Look for an FSSP, ICK, or SSPX parish. They celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass according to the 1962 Missal and all the priests are based.
Try SSPX

I’m a Catholic. I’m not going to join any mask cult or any vaccine cult.
So I have nowhere to go.
I was a Catholic and I have found a Christian church that is not afraid of COVID, lets kids play together without masks and has been open all lockdown. I have switched and it is a much nicer place to be! very uplifting to be with positive people with the same mindset (aka not delusional sheep)
Church of MAGA
AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!
Look for an FSSP, ICK, or SSPX parish. They celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass according to the 1962 Missal and all the priests are based.
That's what I want to do, but it's a looooong drive.
Is the new influx of faithful priests due to BXVI’s seminary reforms? Or did I dream that?
My mother enjoys the Loretto Abbey mass online. She taught Sunday school and Catholic 2nd grade for 30 years, and she can't stomach what's happened to the Catholic church in her lifetime. She feels the Loretto mass feels like a throwback to the 1970s. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi6JtCVy4XKu4BSG-AE2chg
Thanks for the recommendation.
Spend a couple months church hopping.
Gotta pick one. Pedos everywhere.
How can Catholics be based when their leader is this pope?
Our leader is Jesus Christ, second person of the Holy Trinity, Son of God.
If you think that the Pope is the leader of Catholics, then you need to read more.
Not to mention that Bergoglio, the man who calls himself 'Francis', is not the pope. Pope Benedict XVI, forced into exile by the globalists and Deep Church, is still very much alive and well. In 2012, the year before Bergoglio was installed, John Podesta (yes, THAT John Podesta) was scheming to instigate a 'Catholic Spring' within the Catholic Church per emails obtained by Wikileaks: https://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2016/10/12/leaked-podesta-emails-show-an-attempt-to-spark-a-catholic-spring-uprising-n2231244
Who wrote the Bible, Joe?
Even when he said to obey the priests?
I would recommend going to Traditional Latin Mass. most of the laity is very conservative and strictly follow Catholic principals. No picking and choosing which rules you like. You’ll also find a lot of young families with many kids. Also strongly against LGBT propaganda.
Agreed
The "progressive pastor" memeshit on TikTok alone is disgusting.
Christcucks are the worst.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9162581/Christian-OnlyFans-model-says-religion-does-not-stop-stripping-off.html
She has butt implants. That alone puts her on the "pay no mind' list. She's catering to a demographic I want nothing to do with, and she looks ridiculous.
Jesus Christ
ding ding
Every church in my area are commie faggots and have gigantic Black Lives Matter banners on them.
A cardboard cutout they worship like an idol? What is it, a Catholic church?
They big on the idols
Probably Methodist
You are a good parent. We are similar, we are complicating some matters but I try every once in a while to be a flat and consistent 'no mask.'
prolly so they won't get burned down
prolly wont work
Weak and gay
is that your resume?
Fake and gay*
look up the Unitarian Universalist church in Kenosha - spoiler it didn't save them and it won't save any of them
whack jobs vs whack jobs
Jokes on them, Marxist systems that worshipping coveting possessions of their neighbors is a trip to hell!
Same here.
When the pastor begs for money and drives a Bently, your church isn't holy anymore. Just my 2c
How about when televangelist begs for money for his second(!) private jet? That actually happened.
Gotta love giving Jesus to the masses. Only with qualified "donation" of course
Televangelists are the worst, they leech off old people who naively think their pious because they pretend to preach the Gospel on TV
Churches are money grabbing cults, change my mind
Always have been. There's a huge chasm between Christ and most churches. South Park's most biting commentary has been how Jesus is treated in town.
Yep, there are some. It is because of the false converts that unbelievers mock God. Sorry you feel that way but the tithe is the Lord’s and fallible men are to be the stewards. Unfortunately the world found its way into the American church and left a bad taste in your mouth.
I'm good
Indulgences here! Get your blessings!
Reject the corporate church system fools.
Nod everyone that is 'religious' has a personal relationship with God.
That's what I've done, but of course I had some faggy Catholic attacking me the other day because he apparently knows exactly what Jesus would want me to do.
I'll continue worshipping Jesus in my way without relying on some fallible middleman of a perverse, corrupt religion to speak on my behalf.
Do you practice communion in remembrance of Jesus as he himself commanded?
Right. We can all do things 'religiiously'--ex. wash our vehicles.
The Devil had a personal relationship with God, so did Judas. And so apparenty do you. So what? None of the above are saved or Christian.
No. The Devil and Judas had knowledge of God.
Which Bible saves you the hardest?
The Devil knows every page of every Bible, so clearly that alone doesn't save you.
One day when you spin your wheels on rock bottom, that's when it makes the most sense.
Can God reveal himself through other things other than the Bible, and if so, how?
Dreams, wild coincidences, seemingly impossible feats, serendipity.
You can explain it with science, but the Markhov models would sugggest signal or a rigged probability, not random chance or noise.
Yup, total cucks!
The SoCal mega churches are a travesty, they’re basically few good pop shows. Completely watered down “Christianity”
Too much "Theraputic" diety, which is often cut with a bunch of newage/self-help crap.
God is Love, but he also has rules. A little Fire and Brimstone to balance out the Happy Talk is necessary.
We call it life coach/personal trainer theology
I learned that no one tithed enough
Left our church when they implied all the people on “that day,” were nazis.
Fascism is a type is syndicalism.
Fascism Fasces/fascismo (trade union in Italy )
Syndicalism Syndicate (workers union in Russia)
Regretfully agree.
Just my opinion.
I believe this to be fact, and it shouldn’t be controversial. We can see globalists have pushed thousands of women into leadership positions for a reason, are we now weaker or stronger than 6 decades ago? Pretty clear
I agree that it is insidious and intentional.
Destabilization is crucial for control
Women are natural negotiators for peace and harmony, trying to keep everybody happy. While some women can be real tough cookies, they are generally more tempted then men to bend the rules to keep things civil and nice and tolerant and happy.
However, seeing the recent theology grads, it's stunning with how many weak men become pastors. Esp. the Youth Pastors, most of whom are at least borderline malakoi.
It's controversial because it's true.
Agreed.
I’m a woman and I agree. God made man and woman, whom are different and special in each their own way, to serve different and both important roles.
Yeah, different isn't lesser, it just is different.
I think some people get the wrong idea because they have had bad bosses and bad leaders, who rather than lead from the front with service and sacrifice, boss others around in an unloving and unproductive way.
Yep, my parents went through 4 churches in 10 years because each one eventually pissed them off
Sigh... we're now on our 3rd in 6 years, and feeling rather discontent again.
My next church needs a smoke machine!
God bless you and your family!
If the church won't stand anything it's hard to stand for the church.
Well when you're "not allowed" to go to church...
“Member” meaning you actively participate in church services, could even be online.
Definitely this.
People who only went to sermons and didnt get involved in small groups and things like that, tended to lose interest rather quickly from my experience. At the same time, finding a small group that doesn't meet online is a pain in the ass.
Not always, some churches require membership classes, have formal membership certificates etc.
It depends how this particular poll defines "membership"
Almost all polls rely on self-identification. If you say you're a member of a church, they will record you as being a member of a church.

Why are we still pretending that polls give any insight on reality?
I wouldn't trust this poll at all. COVID capacity impacted many from tracking. I would need to see the data behind this.

Why are we pretending that going to church makes people wholesome and righteous?
Sounds like you think all Christians are a bunch of holiness virtue signalers based on experience. Going to church alone is not a token of righteousness. Just like posting on TD doesn't make you a patriot.
Do.. doesn't... That prove my point...
You pulled the words wholesome and righteous out of thin air. I don't think OP or anyone else was making that claim and I'm not arguing with you that church doesn't make people righteous.
Church attendance or religious subscription has absolutely no bearing on most people's morale compass is my point.
OP saying church attendance isn't good for society or country is ridiculous lol
Fair enough, I'll agree with you on that. It seems like needless hand wringing.
You were downvoted for asking a rational question. Some of the worst monsters that have ever loved were devout churchgoers...
We aren’t. Take your basic bitch takes back to Reddit
Reread OP headline. Then shut the fuck up
Doesn’t say anything about all people who go to church being righteous. You’re just a logically challenged dipshit
Troll elsewhere faggot.
Time for your medicine. Did school just let out?
I’m a Christian not a Churchian. I don’t worship the Church. A lot of people still go to the Super Saver Wholesale Mega Churches but I’m not into all the theatrics and stage productions. I prefer to get my inspiration from the Book and not an IMAX screen in Dolby Stereo. If I was going to go to a church it would be one of the old time small community churches and not one of the new politically correct whatever feels good and makes you happy churches.
Christianity is surging, trust in the Church is at an all-time low.
God is looking down on the Pope and Satan has a special place in hell for them all.
I'd like to believe that, but it'd be nice to see some statistics to back it up.

As a non-attending Southern Baptist, I like the PCA. I've met several very good people who left the mainline Presbyterians for them. All MAGA, too.
Dear non church going Christian, do you practice Communion in remembrance of Jesus as he commanded?
I found a church that didn't shut down for Easter last year, and I now attend every Sunday morning and evening. I'm now operating the sound board and recording the sermons which are posted online.
Doing the Lord's Work!
I was disappointed that my church shut down for Easter and a few weeks after. I had a key to the building and went anyway, but I was the only one there. I was just hoping that other people would feel the same as me and show up as well.
My family is looking to find a church to start attending. Any advice?
Thanks man!
If you think that's bad look at white birth rates.
Well it’s hard to want to reproduce these days and raise my kids in a racial jungle
Not sure if you're trolling or not. Any race on God's Earth should be concerned when they're birthing rates fall below a sustainable level.
Joebama said its a racial jungle, Democrat/Communist Senator at the time, from the Grate State of Baltimore.
glad someone caught the reference lol
Not trolling
Don’t let politics determine your decision on having kids. You are in control.
I'm doing my part, 4 white kiddos.
Make a couple more at least.
I am not worried
between PP and their proclivity for killing each other, POC's control their own population
Whites are on track to become a minority within the next couple generations.
Right now, the majority of children are nonwhite.
Time to face reality.
whites were the minority in Africa, South America, India etc when they took over and ran those areas in the colonial era
we invent, design and build everything that makes the world work. we don't need to be a majority
When they ran those areas they were supported by near-exclusively white, very well developed home countries. We invent, design, and build everything; others destroy it. Would you like to live in Zimbabwe?
hell we gave the slaves a whole country in Africa and they would not move back
They weren't allowed to move back. Once we opened up our immigration policies, hundreds of thousands of Africans started flooding in within the span of a few years. More than were brought here during the entire 3+ centuries of the slave trade.
so the claim that all dindus descend from slaves is total horseshit because most don't

What does the modern church offer a masculine man?
Derision, scorn, and guilt tripping.
Fuck that noise.
Amen. I left the Episcopal Church when they started pushing Obama's disastrous policies. No thanks! I believe in God and accept Christ now more than ever. I just don't believe in organized religion. Completely corrupt.
Then you found the wrong church.
"Modern Church" Found your problem.
Went to an orthodox christian church, only place that didn't lie to me about being a cult and fed me damn good authentic eastern european food. If I were single I'd of found me a nice euro-wife I'm sure of it.
🙏❤
Just find a better church. Look up The Trinity Church in Scottsdale with Mark Driscoll. He teaches men to be men and rips on all of the modern wokeness.
Driscoll ABUSED HIS FLOCK.
So not true, people on ultra left Seattle were out to get him forever. He had woke members of his congregation that were looking for an excuse to get rid of him.
There have been allegations of congregant abuse in Arizona too. His theology is also extremely toxic.
Oh come on, name one thing in his theology is that is "toxic"?
Pro family? Pro male head of household? Pro "Man up and get a job"? Anti SJW? Anti Critical race theory?
What of that is "toxic"?
You are either a troll or naive.
Driscoll can go fuck himself.
Love Driscoll, one of the only good ones left
Christ offers that, not the church.
Here's a better analysis of what buster was trying to say: https://themasculinist.com/why-men-hate-going-to-church/
That you think Hell is a real place and that God would banish people there is appalling. It's a cultural meme, not a real place. Do your homework.
Uh oh, I don't think Jesus likes it when you use that naughty word.
As an atheist...
...this worries me. This country was founded on Christian values and losing that is what is making us less American.

But Muh "Atheism +" (Communism) yeah the skeptic community went to shit too. Marxism poisons everything
I'm an unbeliever (not atheist, there's a difference) and agree with you. Judeo-Christian values are the bedrock of society. Not socialism, not islam, but the moral precepts of Christianity.
European Christian values
I’ve heard founders quoted as saying the republic cannot last without God’s influence on the culture of the people (we lost it). An interesting read for you might be Romans 1:18 til the end of chapter 1. Lays the blueprint of where America is currently.
Stop being an atheist then. God is real, and His teachings are of mercy and justice.
I disagree that he's real, but do like his teachings.
Nothing wrong with teaching and instilling family values in your children using the fear of eternal damnation. Do you need to actually believe in that stuff, nope.
Wow, you're a psycho. It's like when Morty lied to his gazorpazorp kid and said "air outside the house is poison".
Or that everyone around you is carrying a deadly disease that will kill you if you don't wear a mask.
Shame on you.
I didn't leave the church, the church left me.
the same thing happened to my ex wife
Don’t need church to be a good Christian especially when the Church is running rampant with corrupt pedo satanists masquerading as priests and the like.
You mean you don't need to subscribe to any religion to be a good person?
Do all good people go to Heaven? Even the good Muslims?
Is heaven even a thing?
I guess we're all going to find out one day.
Except, you're not lol. I know you're really, really confident that you'll close your eyes in your death bed and open them in the clouds, but if there was no heaven, you would never find out.
There is a Heaven and unfortunately, there is also a Hell.
But, but, but, we don't actually EVER see proof of it until the lights go out, right? Yeah, totes convincing.
You must have faith in God to be a good person.
Categorically false.
That's loony bin talk.
How do you know right from wrong?
Snopes Fact Check - Rating: Partly True.
Your relationship with Christ is what matters most, but Jesus did not intend for Christians to live our lives void of relationships and isolated. We are to commune with fellow believers so that we might be sanctified.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cq__Wl8JVs0
Seems like the best advice in this thread.
Cannot upvote this enough!
Many churches don't realize (or want to admit) they have a problem until they look around and only the gray-hairs are left, and by then it's probably too late...
straight truths here....
Meanwhile:
"Here, watch Satan receive a lapdance."
that girl would have a hot ass
I get it! But it was a dude lapdancing, because controversy sells sneakers and gay satan is apparently the worst thing he could think of.
He wanted to look like he was in an exclusive club where only 666 people can wear his gay stan sneakers. Gee, only rich gay stan worslippers can afford, oy vey!
This is what OP is referring to -

It’s clear here in Michigan that denying people to meet at church was to make it a habit to not attend. Can’t be having conservative men meet and talk. However, on the other hand, I’ve seen the Romans 13 teaching of obey every authority have a devastating effect on our ability to respond to tyranny.
Most people are conditioned at their jobs to obey authority. IMO corporate life has done more to cut the balls off of people and make them obedient slaves that can't fight back more than anything else over the last 80 years.
School too.
They condition you to expect the regular working week
School is mostly brainwashing on how to sit still and do boring shit for 40 hours a week.
Prussian educational system.
Agree, "Authority" isn't truth, truth is authority.
which is stupid because Jesus led a rebellion against oppressors
Stop requiring masks and I’ll happily go!
I can’t even go. The church that I grew up in still hasn’t reopened. We now have two woke pastors happily collecting their $100k salaries, putting together half-assed online services that get like 50 views.
That really sucks, I’m sorry to hear that
Should have never closed down and I'd never stopped going.
maybe churches should think more about what their message is - too many are just about tithes and that really turns people off (especially since that's not even a new testament thing - I guess people don't want to be told they should just be good people and that being nice to each other is what Jesus really wanted. The message of - do whatever you want, you are forgiven and will get to go to heaven anyways is pretty awful imo.
I think the biggest L (as the youth people say) is allowing the left to take over the fact that homosexuality is a sin.
They have spun it to be “look how evil and how much they hate you for being gay!!”
No. The Bible says that all men sin and that no one is too far into sinning that they cannot repent and be forgiven.
but...that's what the bible says
except for the heaven part. it does not say people go to heaven
or hell
go forth and sin no more. also treat your body like a temple. even thinking a bad thought is a sin. they just don't try to really enforce that you should TRY to live like Jesus (ie perfect) even in mind, but also body. they preach that you have to do a thing (believe something) to be "saved"... it's all bullshit. the message is: BE A GOOD PERSON - and that's really all it is. Being good is it's own reward and makes your life wonderful.
Not true man. You cannot “be good” and enter the kingdom of heaven.
“as it is written, “T HERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; T HERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, T HERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; A LL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; T HERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, T HERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.” “T HEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE, W ITH THEIR TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING,” “T HE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS ”; “W HOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS ”; “T HEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD, D ESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR PATHS, A ND THE PATH OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN.” “T HERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES.” Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:10-20 NASB1995
Repent and believe man, that’s what I believe.
Leftism is the only religion in America. Christianity has been on life support since post modernism took over academia.
Google 'Baptist child sex.' safe search on of course
Wayyy bigger problem

The most popular song out right now has a flamboyant rapper giving a lapdance to Satan.
The Catholic Church is a large source of destruction of this country. It’s run by a communist
I agree. I have two super close friends that are hardcore, old line Catholics and any time I mention ol' Papa Frankie and his related shenanigans, they get really quiet and will not offer much comment other than something like "Oh yeah, that guy..." or "I miss Benedictine..." Catholics are taught to see their church as the one true church and all others are just off shoots or cults. Now that their 'one true church' is being operated by what seems like a cult, they're embarrassed to even talk about it. This comment section is filled with edge lord fags saying "Every church is woke now and I don't have to go to church to be a Christian, so NYAH!!" Obviously there are PLENTY of churches that aren't woke in the least so it's a bit of a cop out (and the bible does say to meet and congregate as a church and hold each other accountable so saying it isn't required is another cop out), but I can't deny that the woke thing has infiltrated a large section of the non-Catholic churches as well. If we're willing to fight back for the country, we should be willing to do so for our churches too. Refusing to go anymore isn't going to stop the infiltration that is ongoing.
Haha, we just had a commercial air that had some beta boy pansexual fucking Satan himself promoting sataninc shoes with human blood in the soul....
Non stop propaganda from media and schools leaves a lot of kids atheist
how many woke churches are folks fleeing from?
Catholic Church: How many cents on the tithed dollar go to defense attorneys' fees and relocation costs?
About the same percentage as the election defense fund.
Even my beloved Chik-Fil-A has betrayed me like Judas.
cuck-fil-a tendies
Its especially non-existent in young people these days.
Its incredibly rare that I see a person in their 20s or younger who goes to church.
When the church leadership is more interested in money intake, and keeping their tax exempt status than actually preaching the Full word of God, this is the result.
Looking at you mega churches.
Our hometowners here too
I got sick of being told I'm going to hell.
I got sick of being told I'll never be as good of a person as a non-person that never existed.
Did anyone tell you you don’t have to? Theres a harsh side and a good side to the gospel, hence its meaning, “good news”.
Bad news: All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
I already work for god. His guiding light shows me the true path of life. I do his bidding for the betterment of mankind and self.
God is not an asshole.
But his followers can be.
Well, the government did shut down churches, maybe the are taking a victory lap.
THIS literally means nothing.
interesting fact, 31% of all people whom are having children are Christian.
Mega church....
Verily, I say they already have their prize.
Mega churches run by millionaire “pastors” and their once hot blonde wives in a Mercedes are part of the problem.
I'm very religious but don't go to church and never had the inclination to. Is that weird?
Why would you want to be a member of a church? Those cucked places give money to refugee resettlement programs and voted for biden.
they belong to the Church of Neoliberalism
Going to church doesn't necessarily make you a patriot or conservative or a good person. Let's not divide us with religions.
How many people said no because lockdowns
-Heb10:25
