maybe churches should think more about what their message is - too many are just about tithes and that really turns people off (especially since that's not even a new testament thing - I guess people don't want to be told they should just be good people and that being nice to each other is what Jesus really wanted. The message of - do whatever you want, you are forgiven and will get to go to heaven anyways is pretty awful imo.
go forth and sin no more. also treat your body like a temple. even thinking a bad thought is a sin. they just don't try to really enforce that you should TRY to live like Jesus (ie perfect) even in mind, but also body. they preach that you have to do a thing (believe something) to be "saved"... it's all bullshit. the message is: BE A GOOD PERSON - and that's really all it is. Being good is it's own reward and makes your life wonderful.

Try reading a proper translation and read what Jesus teaches in the gospels. You are to try to be good. Your quotes are the same garbage that snake oil salesmen (preachers) use to get people to obey them (men) instead of living a righteous life. Christ did away with the "law" as you say it, that is the whole point of it. Read the beatitudes for a better understanding.
