It’s a Catholic thing. Once a year a few days before Easter all the priests from the area go to the cathedral to renew their vows to the Church and the bishop. It’s a big deal because all the priests are there together.
A homily is just the sermon. So the bishop (old white guy in charge of the entire area) spoke against woke culture at a Mass where every priest in the area was present, meaning they all heard it. Which is great.
Then again, this is an extremely conservative area of Texas, so we don’t have as many woke churches around here to begin with.
