Pretty sure those skinny vegans in India had a lot of covid cases but very low death percentage compared to the USA. Again, I’ve done no research because I don’t care. If covid can cause blood clots and obese people are more susceptible to blood clots it makes perfect sense to me.
72% of all Americans are "overweight". This is statistically meaningless.
Look at other countries and see if 80% holds true. I’m too lazy and fat to research.
