Yup, but what you gonna do to stop someone from stealing from you? My sister worked in a liquor store, she had 2 employees assaulted trying to stop thrives, 1 was stabbed and the other knock out with a fractured eye socket... the police and the company tells the employees not to intervene, for safety reasons of course.

From me personally? Shoot them. In order to do this, we as a society must not ruin people's lives for lawfully defending their property. The benefit must not go to the criminal.

Employees should not be asked to defend the assets of a business. The business should be insured and public stores like this should have tax credits for investing in good surveillance equipment. But WHEN we catch the thieves, that's when they should pay dearly, not with some tolerant "he a gud boi" slap on the wrist.
If a business owner wants to shoot a thief, up to them. Better know what he is doing so he doesn't get killed.
Fwiw, I'd be sketch as fuck if my sister worked in a store that had been robbed twice (maybe more?). Hope she doesn't work the counter. Everybody's gotta work and make their own choices, but for me that's not worth it.

I hear you bro, if enough thieves get shot then eventually there be no more thefts.
