"We've never alleged that the election was won by Donald Trump" -its this type of back peddling that has us against the wall with a vax passport and sooooo much more to come. This kind of mental compromise is the issue. I won't give ANYBODY my time, attention, or money that hold these type of compromises to "play it safe" with their audience or following. Think about where you stand.... and fucking stand there.
It's not backpaddling though. He legitimately never has alleged it. However, he has never claimed Biden won the election, either and doesn't refer to Biden as President. It's obvious where he stands.
Whether or not you like his methods, the dude has a huge spotlight on him and the company (YouTube) is always after him to remove him, and his methods have allowed him to remain on the platform far longer than he would've otherwise. And if you don't think that's a win for us, you haven't been watching. Stephen's uncovered crimes, found amazing evidence, done all sorts of investigative digging that the FBI should be doing and he shares it all with us.
And if you think it's weak for him to not just stand up to YouTube on their own platform... not only has he done that multiple times - but he's had multiple Senators on his own show on YouTube - and YT is still not afraid of bullying Crowder. So IMO, you don't seem to understand what he's up against.
The problem is that if he says outright, yes the election was stolen ... permaban.
He's trying to do what he can to keep his channel.
The other problem is the rules change ... and the new rules are applied retroactively. So you can be banned for something you did in 2019 if it doesn't follow today's rules.
They have to make their own webistes ... but YouTube is so popular that's the only realistic way to get a huge audience. But if YouTube is demonetizing you and banning your videos from showing up in search, what's the point of staying on YouTube?
As he said, paying for the infrastructure for your own media website is big $$$$$. Eventually, hosting costs will come down to the point where it's viable, but we're not there yet. Even if you set up your own website, you can get kicked off your hosting like Parler and Gab.
The fact is, any real conservative with a large audience is going to get banned from social media, unless they're controlled opposition.

I think you’ve got Crowder wrong here. He is pretty much one of the last loyalists that we have. He’s not backpedaling on anything.
