To play the devil’s advocate, the SC gets petitioned by something like 700 cases per year and only ends up heading around 100. Meaning they don’t hear 85% of all cases appealed to them. When 700 cases petition them a year and they can only do 100ish, the majority of times you’re gonna be disappointed just by sheer statistical probability.

Only when it comes to freeing up a suprem court seat. Remember that tome justice scalia died so suddenly and unexpectedly in Texas? And how quickly the body was cremated. Now i dont want to start conspiracy theories, but i got questions.

The only job they have is to rule in favor or more state power and they have been doing a hell of a job lately.
