To play the devil’s advocate, the SC gets petitioned by something like 700 cases per year and only ends up heading around 100. Meaning they don’t hear 85% of all cases appealed to them. When 700 cases petition them a year and they can only do 100ish, the majority of times you’re gonna be disappointed just by sheer statistical probability.
