A few months ago I tried checking with a couple of people directly after I'd tried notifying them by putting their username in a comment, and they hadn't gotten a notification. Maybe it's been fixed since then, but I've never heard anything about that feature being added, and I never see anybody using it as a way to ping or cc additional users on a comment.
I know I used it to a mod on GA a few days ago, in middle of a message. They replied with link I needed. I was shocked they got it and replied.
Do you suppose the feature might be enabled just for mods? Or just on certain .win communities? Or only for mobile users? (I only use a laptop) If it was universally enabled, I would think a lot of people would have learned to use it as a "ping" or "cc".
That I do not know. Try it with me. I will go onto another message and try it now.
