They immediately told me about their most recent experience with racism in which no explicit racist act occurred - by their own admission! Later, I realized that systemic racism like the CRT in the workplace happens daily to whites and, I suppose, most whites don't even realize it. The next time some BS racist "experience" comes up I will be sure to chime in with mine, too.

They were asking permission from the state to pay him/her more than allowed by the state (more than higher level people if I remember). They said that whenever they found someone they wanted to hire, they got better offers from bigger schools. Some of this is due to a lack of black PhD's - 13% population does not equal 13% of PhD's...

I'm an accountant so I see a lot of different peoples' salaries. I've never seen any pattern or association between race/gender and salary.
The only consistent trait I saw was that people who were bigger douche bags/bitches got paid more, probably because they negotiated better.
